Portland Road

A dual townhouse renovation project that was shortlisted for the AJ Retrofit Awards 2019. IQ provided all specialist glazing to the renovation project, including a 6m sliding door! The triple glazed sliding door was created using the minimal windows 4+ system and reched just under 6m tall. Elsewhere in the building IQ detailed two glass floors meeting a flush threshold sliding door, glass balustrades and internal glazing.

IQ also designed and detailed a tricky interface between the minimal windows sliders with a structural glass floor on either side. The design team at IQ had to consider fixings as well as drainage to ensure the bespoke glass installation worked with the surrounding finishes.

The triple glazed sliding doors to the rear of the renovation were almost 6m tall. They spanned across two storeys of the rear renovation with only a 26mm frame.
