Stone Hall, Stourmouth
A beautiful Grade 11 listed medieval property upon which we undertook a complete renovation of the original house, taking it back to bare beams and timbers, recreating the original hall as it would have been. We converted the Old Dairy into an impressive vaulted ceiling living room and guest room with en-suite and connected it to the main house via an oak glazed link. Part of the remit was to demolish the old cat-slide extension and replace it with a reclaimed brick two-storey extension, complementing the features of the old part of the house with huge oak ceiling beams and exposed flint walls. We completely landscaped the gardens and driveway, we built a three bay oak and weatherboard garage under Kent Peg tiled roof, a tennis court and golfing green, complete with bunker and underwater pop-up sprinkler systems. We also had the pleasure of designing and building a recreational patio area incorporating an outside bar, complete with BBQ’s, granite worktops, fridges and a T.V, York Stone table and plinth, outside shower and a hand-built 10 person mosaic tiled hot tub, with granite tops - all hidden away by a flint and York Stone wall.
