Each year, we look through thousands of photos that professionals have uploaded to Houzz to find the most popular images in the UK and Ireland. These projects make it into our prestigious annual Best of Houzz Design awards.

Best bedrooms
Rich colours and gentle patterns were a feature of many of the bedroom designs in our 2023 winners category, as well as some clever examples of bespoke storage.

Best kitchens
Introducing more colour in kitchens has been a growing trend in recent years, with green emerging strongly in 2022. Many of the winners in the kitchen category used variations on this calming shade in their schemes.
This kitchen design by Celtic Interiors uses a deep forest green for the kitchen cabinetry, which pairs beautifully with the warm brick wall, wooden accessories and brass hardware. It also mirrors the leafy garden view beyond the sliding doors, neatly connecting the two spaces.

Home working has been a major lifestyle shift for many of us in recent times and, as a result, designers are having to find creative ways to carve out space at home for an office area.

Many designers are taking a more creative approach to small spaces by prioritising planting pockets over a lawn, as shown in this design by Belsize Gardens, as a way of increasing biodiversity.
The demand for a garden room has also increased in recent years, with more homeowners looking to find space for a dedicated home office.
