Aurora Tile & Stone

Contemporary Bathroom, Little Rock

This is a complete tear out, and remodel. The client had a major roof leak that they had repaired by a Handyman. We had to tear out the walls, floors and some studs as well as floor joists. We removed a lot of mold covered and delapitated studs. Added some insulation to the studed walls. Coated with a 4 mil plastic with breathing holes." The plastic was for protecting the insulation yet at smae time not to create moister in the walls we left breating holes". Installed the plumbing and wired a new recessed light, and switch. to Keep some cost down we built our own shower pan, and added a new drain to accomodate the heigth of the tile as well as keeping the flow for the water drain. The client wanted a design so we suggested a slight mosaic accent band which wrapped the shower and through a shelf made for her Shampoo and conditioners. We built a seat and covered it with a rubber sheeting that we also used for the shower base. all of the tile was a porcelian the customer had ordered from dale tile. I had aslo asked the customer to show off her shower to get a seamless shower door. We also purchased a moen shower head that produced a rain affect.
