Amelia WilsonWe started out with quite a different plan for this bathroom. Before tiling we needed to re-plaster the walls but when we exposed the beautiful red sandstone behind, it had to stay. The original design had been pure Victorian but the final design combined Victorian with rustic and the result is striking.

We removed the bathtub and added a classic, white subway tile with a niche and glass door. The brass hardware adds contrast and rattan is incorporated for warmth.

By moving the entry to the center, we had just enough room to have a double vanity on one side and a makeup vanity on the left. The bath tub is a lovely focal point in the large wet area.
