This home is an exquisite Spanish-style custom estate.
Steve gave me the fabric swatches and I went to town mixing. I designed all of the various treatments as the perfect assembly of old and new to accomodate the archetectural style of the home coupled with Steve Stein's perfection of chosen fabrics, art and furnishings. We performed specialty (faux) finishes on the walls, ceilings, niches and crown moldings. This room became a haven & the house favorite. The walls were described as silken luxury. Years later the owner of the house still found this to be their favorite room of all; even after all furnishings, draperies, art and accessories were removed. Even empty, this room was stunning.
I wish to honor your memory, Steve, for tirelessly absorbing into the fun of so many Philharmonic Design Houses. I always admired your trust and genuine thrill in collaboration. We all miss you dearly. Carry on.... whereever you are, carry on, my friend.
