A swimming pool covered by a glazed retractable enclosure was added to this existing residence south-east of Parker, CO. A 3000 square foot deck is on the upper level reached by curving steel stairways on each end. The addition and the existing house received cultured stone veneer with limestone trim on the arches. Tongue and groove knotty cedar planks on the ceiling and beams add visual warmth. Color changing LED light coves provide a fun touch. We added a beautiful naturalistic pool, landscaping, travertine paving, outdoor shower, custom porch and deck. Low maintenance landscaping, and planted bamboo in a secure 60 mil EPDM containment trench to give the clients privacy. One of our other challenges was to solve the storm water runoff, which we handled with and underground drain system. The outdoor raised firepit is a nice addition for for sitting around those cool nights. To complete our project was the outdoor lighting design which highlights all of the awesome focal points.

Eclectic Swimming Pool with Concrete Paving Ideas and Designs

A eclectic garden or outdoor swimming pool can be a great way to cool off in the summer, and when the swimming pool covers are on, the fun can continue with steaming hot tubs or home spas. Better yet, if you have the budget and the space to work with, why not install an indoor swimming pool that can be enjoyed all year round? Whether you are looking at the luxury of hot tubs, want a small plunge pool, or you’re planning a brand new outdoor swimming pool or home spa installation, we have plenty of eclectic hot tub and outdoor pool designs for you to dip into here at Houzz.

Do new indoor or outdoor swimming pools increase the value of homes?

Outdoor or indoor swimming pools can significantly impact property value by attracting buyers with bigger budgets who are looking for a little luxury in their home. However, installing a large eclectic swimming pool could also negatively impact the value of your house if there isn’t enough space left in your garden for anything else. This is why it is important to seek guidance from a swimming pool installer or expert, and choose a swimming pool installation that can fit tastefully in your garden. What type of swimming pool should I install?

What material should I use for spas or hot tubs?

For a hot tub to survive the changing seasons it is important to choose a material that will be durable. Cedar or other wooden hot tubs can look attractive, but will be harder to maintain. The most popular material is often vinyl for its affordability and versatility but this material is also less likely to last. To get the best bang for your buck, we would recommend opting for a concrete or a fibreglass hot tub or spa, which would provide you with a sturdy solution. In addition, metal above ground hot tubs can be a durable option.
