This is a home we initially built in 1995 and after it sold in 2014 we were commissioned to come back and remodel the interior of the home.
We worked with internationally renowned architect Will Bruder on the initial design on the home. The goal of home was to build a modern hillside home which made the most of the vista upon which it sat. A few ways we were able to achieve this were the unique, floor-to-ceiling glass windows on the side of the property overlooking Scottsdale, a private courtyard off the master bedroom and bathroom, and a custom commissioned sculpture Mayme Kratz.
Stonecreek's particular role in the project were to work alongside both the clients and the architect to make sure we were able to perfectly execute on the vision and design of the project. A very unique component of this house is how truly custom every feature is, all the way from the window systems and the bathtubs all the way down to the door handles and other features.
Wagner HodgsonThis site 30’ above the Connecticut River offers 180 degree panoramic views. The client wanted a modern house & landscape that would take advantage of this amazing locale, blurring the lines between inside and outside. The project sites a main house, guest house / boat storage building, multiple terraces, pool, outdoor shower, putting green and fire pit. A long concrete seat wall guides visitors to the front entry accentuated by a tall ornamental grass backdrop. Local boulders, rivers stone and River Birch where also incorporated into the entry landscape, borrowing from the materiality of the Connecticut River below. The concrete facades of the house transition into concrete site walls extending the architecture into the landscape. A flush Ipe Wood deck surrounds 2 sides of the pool opposite an architectural water fall. Concrete paving slabs disperse into lawn as it extends towards the river. A series of free-standing concrete screen walls further extends the architecture out while screening the pool area from the neighboring property. Planting was selected based upon the architectural qualities of the plants and the desire for it to be low-maintenance. A fire pit extends the pool season well into the shoulder seasons and provides a good viewing point for the river.

Aquarius Home StagingThe garden was overgrown, after cutting back the bushes and cleaning the concrete tiles, we added a few flower pots with greenery and white and purple flowers. Rattan garden furniture set with grey seat cushions and colourful accent cushions added to the look and created an inviting area to sit and relax outside
Straight Forward Gardens LtdFront driveway done for The London Landscaping Company, base used 200 mm mot type 1 well compacted, drainable surface, all the water meant no sink in to the joints between block pavers. Pavers are 100 mm thick as this is a standard for the driveways build out. To avoid any borders last course of pavers has been laid on the wet mortar mix and supported from site with a mix of concrete to keep the pavers together. Walls around the garden build out on brand new fundation which was stepping up with a garden fall. Concrete blocks use (hollow blocks) with a reinforce bars and fundation reinforced to. Step shuttering done and poured with concrete for an extra strenght. Alll coverd with a nice stones cant remember the name but more likely granite look with a facial and sides rendered to match the walls painted in brilliant white. Rockery on the left hand site and just a single tree, weed membrane below to stop the weeds and large size pebbles used.
Red Studio FurnitureThis outdoor set of two semi circular benches and a circular dining table have a very special story. They came to us as church pews which our client wanted to transform into a dining set. We cut the seat into strips and laminated it into its semi circular shape.
Kennedy Landscapes & Gardens LtdThis new build property in Hassocks needed a total overhaul. The weather played havoc with the work as the day we started; we had the largest rainfall in 6 months. The Raj Green tumbled paving slabs are used to create the main patio area and complement the house bricks. Granite setts along the patio's edge contrast well with the slabs and look great with the turf. The return left-hand side is a perfect size and space for a barbeque.
