With an existing pool and retaining walls, we took this space and made it more modern offering many various spaces for lounging, enjoying the fire, listening to the water feature and an upper synthetic turf area for playing games. It is complete with bluestone pavers, a modern water feature and reflecting pool, a raised ipe deck, synthetic turf, glass railings, a modern, gas fire bowl and a stunning cedar privacy wall!

One of the most powerful elements you can add to your landscaping is a water feature. Ponds with waterfalls bring a multi-sensory experience to your outdoor space by creating reflections, movement, and sound. They are an ideal solution for smaller properties that don't have space for a pool. Water is therapeutic for everyone and can bring nature closer to those who are confined at home, like the elderly or infirm. A pond can become the focal point of a yard or outdoor room, regardless of size.
Arbordale Landscaping
Stepping stones in a minimal gravel paved area lead past two lounge chairs to the intimate dining area. The herringbone-patterned limestone patio dissipates into a lush planting bed filled with loose swaths of shade-loving perennials and seasonal bulbs. Beech hedging, and formal clipped evergreens, surround the space and provide privacy, structure and winter interest to the garden. On axis to the main interior living space of the home, the fountain, is the focal point of the garden. A limestone water wall featuring an engraved pattern of fallen Honey Locust leaves nods to the centrally located mature Honey Locust tree that anchors the garden. Water, flowing down the wall, falls a short distance into a pool with a submerged limestone panel. The light noise of the falling water helps soften the sounds of the bustling downtown neighbourhood, creating a tranquil back drop for living and entertaining.
Garcia Rock And Water Design
A section of a rock lined creek-stream water feature, that we built, which is over 200' long. It is located underneath a grove of oaks that provides plenty of shade and partial sun for the ferns and other shade loving plants.
The landscape was designed by the homeowners and is meticulously maintained.

We have a designed a modern, textural courtyard in Sevenoaks using a muted palette of wood, grey porcelain and nordic tier cladding. This semi-enclosed space creates a wonderful connection to the newly refurbished home which leads up to the lawn and summerhouse. We've planted perennials, ornamental grasses and roses, added a backbone of evergreen structure and a raised planter to create a vertical green wall rather than 3 separate borders.

At this newly renovated Burlington home we wanted to create a backyard space that would allow for entertaining family and friends. Contemporary paving stones were used to create the pool patio/dining area where we installed modern rectilinear pool featuring a sheer decent water feature wall. A custom garden shed was built to incorporate pool equipment. Other custom features include a fireplace, BBQ and cabana complete with heating and lighting. Landscape lighting and a fully automated irrigation system complete the project.

Following on from the experience of building my first show garden in Bloom 2007, I decided to go down a different design route with this garden in 2008. This garden was designed to look like an existing natural space where 2 sitting areas had been added on either side of a stream to create a space where the user could relax and be wooed by the gentle sound of the water flowing over and between boulders. Again I was awarded a silver medal for my efforts. I was particularly pleased with the natural feel of the water and the dense planting.

In 2022, we converted the swimming pool to this stunning three tier rill with an extended terrace for dining and entertaining. We used the formal planting of the yew domes and the lawn to create structure whilst softening the borders with delicate, flowing plants in a simple colour palette.
