Final pic of the renovation. I ordered legs for the island and painted to match the island color. My husband built the frame to incorporate the legs around the island. We installed new light fixtures (old schoolhouse style pendants above the island and flush mount above the sink to match). We repainted the walls in the room Benjamin Moore- Ozark Shadows, and painted the trim to match the kitchen cabinets.
