Dura Supreme Cabinetry
Getting Beyond Beige!
Karen Wistrom ASID, is Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Dura Supreme and a certified Interior Designer with 20+ years of experience in the cabinetry market. featured this kitchen in her blog. Here is some of the content from that blog feature...
"One of my favorite examples of a homeowner’s color scheme that was successfully worked into a kitchen makeover is this photo of a Dura Supreme kitchen designed by Barbra Bright of Barbra Bright Design in San Francisco, CA.
This kitchen is a perfect example of how a customer’s favorite color can be worked into the design to create an incredibly personal and unique look. Everyone that sees this kitchen says “WOW!” and notice how the bright green paint is only used on a few doors and drawer fronts that could be changed if the homeowner eventually wanted a different look." states Wistrom.

From this angle the full kitchen can be seen. The U-shape layout ensures practicality with the fridge/freezer within easy reach of the range cooker and clear worktop space for food preparation.

This kitchen features a new island with walnut butcher block and a custom seat. We replaced the cooktop and double oven with a slide in range and hidden coffee/ microwave storage. A custom hood matches the countertop and floating shelves. New shaker doors are highlighted with champagne bronze hardware. The green and white cabinetry give the space a warm inviting feel. The custom walnut table blends with the island top and is highlighted by offset pendants.

This major kitchen remodel removed a wall between kitchen and dining areas as well as closed off a stairwell entry point to create a more continuous kitchen area with open floor plan to the living area. Warm wood counters mixed with engineered quartz create a funky eclectic feel on top of white and green cabinets. A chalkboard column abuts a pesky chimney column.

Located on a large farm in southern Wisconsin, this family retreat focuses on the creation of large entertainment spaces for family gatherings. The main volume of the house is comprised of one space, combining the kitchen, dining, living area and custom bar. All spaces can be enjoyed within a new custom timber frame, reminiscent of local agrarian structures. In the rear of the house, a full size ice rink is situated under an open-air steel structure for full enjoyment throughout the long Wisconsin winter. A large pool terrace and game room round out the entertain spaces of the home.

The kitchen is the heart of the home. Everyone gathers together, standing around eating and drinking. We envisioned this sitting area, off the kitchen, as a space where everyone can congregate and relax while taking in the ocean view.
