Brandler London were employed to carry out the conversion of an old hop warehouse in Southwark Bridge Road. The works involved a complete demolition of the interior with removal of unstable floors, roof and additional structural support being installed. The structural works included the installation of new structural floors, including an additional one, and new staircases of various types throughout. A new roof was also installed to the structure. The project also included the replacement of all existing MEP (mechanical, electrical & plumbing), fire detection and alarm systems and IT installations. New boiler and heating systems were installed as well as electrical cabling, mains distribution and sub-distribution boards throughout. The fit out decorative flooring, ceilings, walls and lighting as well as complete decoration throughout. The existing windows were kept in place but were repaired and renovated prior to the installation of an additional double glazing system behind them. A roof garden complete with decking and a glass and steel balustrade system and including planting, a hot tub and furniture. The project was completed within nine months from the commencement of works on site.

The homeowner's had been living with inefficient and worn-out cabinetry in their 1970's ranch. They had remodeled other spaces in their home and were now ready to take on their kitchen remodel themselves. We found cabinetry that was well made and within their budget and developed a plan for the stages of their remodel. Appliances, lighting and fixtures remained in their original location. The cabinetry was fitted with robust storage solutions to organize everything in a functional layout. The vinyl flooring was replaced with beautiful hardwood. This small galley kitchen in Manhattan needed an efficient layout, and clean lines and materials that created more visual space. Kitchen designer Robert Dobbs put together a modern design including upper cabinets in Titan Pine wood grain laminate and base cabinets in a warm, neutral yet dramatic high gloss truffle grey for clients who wanted "not another white kitchen!" Floating corner shelves with LED lighting add to the sense of space and provide task lighting. The vent hood's glass canopy helps it disappear. Upper cabinets include bifold doors that open up and make the ceiling look higher. Thin countertops and handle-free base cabinets continue the simple, horizontal and clean, linear design.
