When our customer came to us saying they wanted a pink and blue kitchen, we took this on board and ran with it, making sure their personal style came across throughout the whole space. The room is warm and inviting, and is a wonderful space for entertaining. It really is a kitchen you would want to spend a lot of time in. It is stylish yet functional, with plenty of internal storage solutions added in for ease and accessibility. They couldn't be happier with the transformation.

Some projects start off in one direction and then change tack. Our clients were looking for something a little more contemporary than a traditional Shaker kitchen, so we originally designed this in our Modern Kitchens range, before switching to the White Kitchen Company’s classic Shaker range, but with flat-fronted drawers to provide a more contemporary look. We love so much about this kitchen, from the two-tone cabinetry and the antique mirror splashback from Rough Old Glass, to the large, feature mantel, with its adjoining shelves, all set against the gorgeous wall paper behind. The adjacent pantry features open pull outs with baskets as well as the ever popular Fisher and Paykel French-style fridge freezer. We again worked closely with Katie Amin, who project managed the works, which were completed using Chris Boyda and his talented sub contractors and the kitchen and pantry themselves were fitted by Lorry Lennard. Stoneworx supplied, fabricated and fitted the Silestone Calacatta Gold quartz worktops

First of all, you are met with striking Crittal doors that open up to the brand-new kitchen. These modern doors connect the rooms and bring an industrial touch to the home. The kitchen wasn’t just a standalone project, it was a home renovation project where work was undertaken throughout the entire property. Working with Beth Clancy, an interior designer – we took on this amazing opportunity to translate our client’s dreams into reality within a beautiful village known as Chalfont St Giles. Kitchen vision: to take the best appliances, a rich deep green and brass finish, and combine it with our Classic In-Frame Shaker to create a timeless kitchen design. With ideas from us, the designer and the client themselves, this collaborative approach resulted in a rich deep green as the main colour for the cabinets and a versatile open-plan space that would suit all needs. Neptune Constable Green comes from the inspiration of 19th-century paintings. It’s a rich, inky colour that has been created with depth and love. This inky green takes on a dynamic character that further enhances the oak internals and the polished Heartly Grey quartz worktop found around the kitchen. Centering the kitchen around a larger-than-life island, this central showpiece has been expertly crafted to provide a social spot for family gatherings and entertainment. The focal point has to go to the Wolf 1216mm Sealed Burner Range Top with 6 Burners and Griddle and glass mirrored splashback. Many professional chefs choose gas cooking, simply because of the control. Wolf takes that control up a notch with this particular model, which includes six innovative burners, each dual-stacked with both upper and lower-tier flames. Other top-line cooking features include built-in appliances from Siemens that seamlessly integrate with the cabinetry and a Liebherr fridge freezer. A Westin Prime extractor was also added to the design and sits under a bespoke mantle that has been completed with a white-washed oak shelf. Something a little different and something we absolutely love! Adding to the shaker kitchen’s heritage, a Shaws sink completes the sink area. This iconic handcrafted fireclay sink is strategically placed beneath one of the beautiful windows. It not only enhances the kitchen’s charm but also provides practicality, complemented by a Quooker Classic Fusion in patinated brass and a Yardley bespoke rinse in patina brass. Beyond the endless storage solutions, is a bespoke bi-fold breakfast station, complete with white-washed oak shelves and a beautiful feature that can be bought into family life in the mornings. Enhance the centrepiece of your home beyond expectations, redefining the concept and functionality of utility spaces. This isn’t just a utility though, it opens up to more possibilities. An English charm that is made with simplicity and balance.

Our customer chose solid oak worktops with an upstand, which match the two floating shelves and the oak herringbone flooring. It gives a lovely traditional look with the shaker doors and belfast sink, but with a very up-to-date feel in the pink and blue.

An Island Statement
An Island Statement
The Myers TouchThe Myers Touch
In collaboration with the client’s architect, AR Design the layout of the kitchen was already in place. However, upon meeting the client it was clear she wanted a ‘wow’ island, symmetry in design and plenty of functional storage. As well as a contemporary, family-friendly space it was also important the space that still respected the heritage of the house. The original walls of the property had many angled walls and featured some tight spaces, so careful consideration of SieMatic's cabinetry choices was given to ensure maximum functionality in those spaces. After much consideration, The Myers Touch specified SieMatic’s SC10 Cabinetry in a Provence Oak Laminate finish which was placed in a framed-style at the rear wall. The same cabinetry was specified for under the island to create contrast with the new and original material features in the space. In order for the family to keep the kitchen uncluttered, careful planning of internal storage systems was considered in the form of using SieMatic’s internal Drawer boxes and their MultiMatic internal storage system which were used to store smaller items such as spices and sauces, as well whilst providing space for slide-out drawers and storage baskets. To ensure an elegant yet ‘wow’ factor central island, The Myers Touch combined contrasting textures by using 30mm Silestone Eternal Calacatta natural stone, polished worktops with ‘waterfall island’ edges and a Corian solid surface back panel. The distinctive geometric patterned Corian panel in Cameo White looks particularly spectacular at night when the owner's turn on the architectural-toned lighting under the island. Appliances chosen for the island included a sophisticated Elica Illusion extractor hood so it could be totally integrated in the new architectural space without visual distraction, a Siemens iQ500 Induction Hob with touch-slide control and a Caple Under-counter Wine cabinet. To maximise every inch of the new space, and to ensure the owners had a place for everything, The Myers Touch also used additional cabinetry and storage options in the island such as extra deep drawers to store saucepans, cutlery, and everyday crockery. The eye-catching Antique-bronze mirrored splashback not only helps to provide the illusion of extra space, but reinforces family ‘togetherness’ as it reflects and links the rear of the kitchen ‘snug’ area where family members can sit and relax or work when not in the main kitchen extension area. The original toned brickwork and 18th Century steel windows in the original part of the extension also helps to tell the story about the older part of the house which now juxtaposes to the new, contemporary kitchen living extension. A handy door was also included in the extension which leads to the garage on the main road for family convenience and over-flow storage.
