We enjoyed designing this kitchen for our client in Kent. What makes it special is the statement splashback, made from exquisite Arabescato Rosso marble. Its red and earthy hues create a striking contrast against the blue-tone shaker cabinets, infusing the space with a sense of warmth and depth. This harmonious interplay of colors and textures brings together a captivating kitchen design that is both visually appealing and practical, and a true centerpiece of the house.

Immerse yourself in the opulence of this bespoke kitchen, where deep green cabinets command attention with their rich hue and bespoke design. The striking copper-finished island stands as a centerpiece, exuding warmth and sophistication against the backdrop of the deep green cabinetry. A concrete countertop adds an industrial edge to the space, while large-scale ceramic tiles ground the room with their timeless elegance. Classic yet contemporary, this kitchen is a testament to bespoke craftsmanship and luxurious design.

A fantastic Persian rug from Blue Parakeet Rugs brings the whole color scheme together. Vintage touches include the Wedgewood stove, the pendant light over the sink, the red bakelite clock, the vintage footstool ( a Rose Bowl find) and my collection of early California Pottery.

The simple use of black and white…classic, timeless, elegant. No better words could describe the renovation of this kitchen, dining room and seating area. First, an amazing wall of custom cabinets was installed. The home’s 10’ ceilings provided a nice opportunity to stack up decorative glass cabinetry and highly crafted crown moldings on top, while maintaining a considerable amount of cabinetry just below it. The custom-made brush stroke finished cabinetry is highlighted by a chimney-style wood hood surround with leaded glass cabinets. Custom display cabinets with leaded glass also separate the kitchen from the dining room. Next, the homeowner installed a 5’ x 14’ island finished in black. It houses the main sink with a pedal style control disposal, dishwasher, microwave, second bar sink, beverage center refrigerator and still has room to sit five to six people. The hardwood floor in the kitchen and family room matches the rest of the house. The homeowner wanted to use a very selective white quartzite stone for counters and backsplash to add to the brightness of their kitchen. Contemporary chandeliers over the island are timeless and elegant. High end appliances covered by custom panels are part of this featured project, both to satisfy the owner’s needs and to implement the classic look desired for this kitchen. Beautiful dining and living areas surround this kitchen. All done in a contemporary style to create a seamless design and feel the owner had in mind.

Download our free ebook, Creating the Ideal Kitchen. DOWNLOAD NOW   The homeowners came to us looking to update the kitchen in their historic 1897 home. The home had gone through an extensive renovation several years earlier that added a master bedroom suite and updates to the front façade. The kitchen however was not part of that update and a prior 1990’s update had left much to be desired. The client is an avid cook, and it was just not very functional for the family. The original kitchen was very choppy and included a large eat in area that took up more than its fair share of the space. On the wish list was a place where the family could comfortably congregate, that was easy and to cook in, that feels lived in and in check with the rest of the home’s décor. They also wanted a space that was not cluttered and dark – a happy, light and airy room. A small powder room off the space also needed some attention so we set out to include that in the remodel as well. See that arch in the neighboring dining room? The homeowner really wanted to make the opening to the dining room an arch to match, so we incorporated that into the design. Another unfortunate eyesore was the state of the ceiling and soffits. Turns out it was just a series of shortcuts from the prior renovation, and we were surprised and delighted that we were easily able to flatten out almost the entire ceiling with a couple of little reworks. Other changes we made were to add new windows that were appropriate to the new design, which included moving the sink window over slightly to give the work zone more breathing room. We also adjusted the height of the windows in what was previously the eat-in area that were too low for a countertop to work. We tried to keep an old island in the plan since it was a well-loved vintage find, but the tradeoff for the function of the new island was not worth it in the end. We hope the old found a new home, perhaps as a potting table. It all started with a design session with our clients. Clients had a vision of blue and white cabinet combination. We got a few designs in an couldn't quite hit the nail. It was once we introduced the white oak that it all came together. Clients then introduced the concept of a talavera tile backsplash and once we put our hands on the right tile, everything came together in perfect harmony. Here we have a white oak and blue shaker custom kitchen made by your very own MDRN Remodeling Company. Any custom Kitchen needs, please reach out and set up a design appointment. Our design skills match our production abilities. Always delivered on schedule and on budget.

Subtle shaker detailing, a stunning wood floor and stylish accessories introduce a lovely touch of warmth and character to this elegant interior. However, nothing can quite compare with the extraordinary, marbled work surfaces and splashback sitting at the heart of this design. The exquisite material incorporates a dazzling range of cool and warm tones, perfectly complementing the overall scheme. The ultimate transformational feature — the marble finish brings remarkable depth, movement and opulence to the space.
