Campion Walker LandscapesTo anchor a modern house, designed by Frederick Fisher & Partners, Campion Walker brought in a mature oak grove that at first frames the home and then invites the visitor to explore the grounds including an intimate culinary garden and stone fruit orchard.
The neglected hillside on the back of the property once overgrown with ivy was transformed into a California native oak woodland, with under-planting of ceanothus and manzanitas.
We used recycled water to create a dramatic water feature cut directly into the limestone entranceway framed by a cacti and succulent garden.

Outdoor Space DesignsThis patio was part of a surprise patio makeover called Patio Flip. This patio is now fit to entertain any crowd and provide several areas to entertain. The unused side yard was turned into a beautiful dining space.
This stunning outdoor kitchen also received a makeover as well and was repositioned to become more functional in the space. The outdoor lounge area provides a contemporary, casual seating area.

Dig Your Garden Landscape DesignAPLD 2022 Award Winning Landscape Design. Photo taken 1 year after installation. We designed and installed this dramatic living wall / vertical garden to add a welcoming focal point, and a great way to add living beauty to the large front house wall. The wall includes a variety of succulents, grass-like and cascading plants some with flowers, (some with flowers, Oxalis, Heuchera designed to provide long cascading "waves" with appealing textures and colors. The dated walkway was updated with large geometric concrete pavers with polished black pebbles in between, and a new concrete driveway. Water-wise grasses flowering plants and succulents replace the lawn. This updated modern renovation for this mid-century modern home includes a new garage and front entrance door and modern garden light fixtures. Studio AgeliFrom the very first site visit the vision has been to capture the magnificent view and find ways to frame, surprise and combine it with movement through the building. This has been achieved in a Picturesque way by tantalising and choreographing the viewer’s experience.
The public-facing facade is muted with simple rendered panels, large overhanging roofs and a single point of entry, taking inspiration from Katsura Palace in Kyoto, Japan. Upon entering the cavernous and womb-like space the eye is drawn to a framed view of the Indian Ocean while the stair draws one down into the main house. Below, the panoramic vista opens up, book-ended by granitic cliffs, capped with lush tropical forests.
At the lower living level, the boundary between interior and veranda blur and the infinity pool seemingly flows into the ocean. Behind the stair, half a level up, the private sleeping quarters are concealed from view. Upstairs at entrance level, is a guest bedroom with en-suite bathroom, laundry, storage room and double garage. In addition, the family play-room on this level enjoys superb views in all directions towards the ocean and back into the house via an internal window.
In contrast, the annex is on one level, though it retains all the charm and rigour of its bigger sibling.
Internally, the colour and material scheme is minimalist with painted concrete and render forming the backdrop to the occasional, understated touches of steel, timber panelling and terrazzo. Externally, the facade starts as a rusticated rougher render base, becoming refined as it ascends the building. The composition of aluminium windows gives an overall impression of elegance, proportion and beauty. Both internally and externally, the structure is exposed and celebrated.
The project is now complete and finished shots were taken in March 2019 – a full range of images will be available very shortly.

The Campiello is a continuation and reincarnation of last summer’s party pavilion which abarnai constructed to cover and compliment the custom built IL-1beta table, a personalized birthday gift and centerpiece for the big celebration. The fresh new design includes; cedar timbers, Roman shades and retractable vertical shades, a patio extension, exquisite lighting, and custom trellises.
