New Jacobean Country House

Contemporary Dining Room

This imposing new family home was constructed in the Jacobean style over four levels and is set within two hectares of landscaped gardens. The house includes a series of formal and private reception rooms as well as a basement leisure complex. The thermally broken double glazed windows together with a thermally broken detail to the stone surrounds and cavity walling, means the home provides a beautiful traditional aesthetic with all the benefits of current thermal insulation levels. Bronze casements throughout the entirety of this extensive project total approximately 450 and fit perfectly with the traditional design and materials used. Wide rows of mullioned windows wrapping around bays and punctuating gables are delicately intersected by leaded lights, becoming the centre point of the architectural design in true Jacobean fashion. Light streams into the internal rooms, particularly the swimming pool and gym which are housed behind a quadripartite of floor to ceiling coach house style casements. A simple ogee design above the three paned window at the top of the entrance gable draws the eye upwards, showcasing the versatility of Bronze in the process.
