“We decided to award Home Architecture the design contract for a large rear extension we had planned for our 1930s house. The designed drawing by Mike had some design options that at the time we had not considered. With this open advice and forward thinking vision we approved modification for the final drawing sign off. Its now some eight years since we had the extension done and still very much appreciated the input we had from the architects. The rear extension in brief consisted of a approx 6m x 4m single story extension, with tiled roof , velux windows and Bi-fold doors across the rear to open up onto hard wood decking. I would recommend Home Architecture if you are considering building works small or large.”

“We loved working with Emily. She is thorough, accurate, knowledgeable and collaborative. A true professional. Emily took the time to get to know us and listen to what we wanted to achieve. She understood the space we felt we could create and how to transform it into our forever family home. She worked with us through the concept and drawing phase and creatively found a solution to our upstairs that we hadn't considered. She is thoughtful, realistic and detailed - advising on what is possible and if it isn't, the reasons why, or the cost required to achieve it. Emily helped us get through a difficult planning process, navigating tricky conversations with the powers that be, especially when we were delayed by bat surveys and the ecology process. She has a strong network and understands the process thoroughly - able to advise on timeframes and correct protocol. She recommended to us our builder - the best we've ever worked with and who we will continue to use for any future builds. Considering the quality of her work, time spent and continued support, we felt her prices incredibly fair. Emily is a delight to work with, very patient and reassuring, and we would highly recommend her.”

“The project is large extension of the 1960s bungalow including the front, side, rear and porch and increasing ridge height to create two storey dwelling. Currently at a building stage, expected to finish in 2020. AG Architecture Studio was involved from the early stages of the project including planning permission, building regulation and ongoing architectural support during building stage. From the planning permission stage, we have been very impressed with AG Architecture Studio professional approach, sensitivity to environment and creative yet pragmatic design which have been awarded with a planning permission for a house ideally suited for our family needs (despite a history of prior planning refusals). AG Architecture Studio services were invaluable in maximising space usage and accommodating specific requests on style and functionality. AG Architecture Studio provided very specific and well thought through Building Regulations drawings advising on materials and cost and being flexible and patient with changes inflicted at various stages in order to achieve the best possible outcome. AG Architecture Studio have been providing architectural support during the building stage, their input was extremely useful in resolving inevitable issues with the contractors. We can wholeheartedly recommend AG Architecture Studio services to achieve your dream home.”

“We found Inspiration through AECB as we wanted to build an environmentally sound house in the garden of the listed thatched cottage where we had lived for 30+ years. Inspiration understood our brief brilliantly and ten years later we are very happy (warm and dry) in our EPC 'A' rated house that costs much less to heat than we receive from our Pv. Would have had five stars apart from their recommendation of a builder........ The quality of the build was excellent - the final builder's bill not so good.”

“Absolute Architecture was a joy to work with. Kate Cooper and her team worked with a tiny, decrepit home, large garden and stables from 1908 and turned the property into a show piece. They were sympathetic to the original design and area while making the home user friendly and comfortable for contemporary residents. They were knowledgeable about the many local laws and guidelines and used the best local craftsmen for the renovation and addition, all in a timely, warm manner. We are so proud of our lovely home; it came out truly beautiful. Thank you Kate!”

“I used Vesta Architects for a single storey rear extension and internal renovation. Not having had much experience in the construction industry I was not sure about how the process worked. Michael at Vesta we’re incredibly helpful in this regard. At the start of the process they explained the required steps and what would should be expected at each stage. “James provided architectural services to secure planning permission to extend our house at ground and first floor level, to the side and rear. Being located within a conservation area, visible from the street and on a tight plot, the design needed to be carefully considered, balancing our aspirations and the requirements of the Council. This James secured. Following the grant of permission, James assisted with the commissioning of the contractor, providing detailed working drawings, scope of work and attended on site during the construction phase. We are extremely pleased with the result. The extension is sympathetic to the architecture of the original house but provides a contemporary and spacious addition, which is highly functional as well as being aesthetically pleasing. James provided excellent advice at all stages in a calming manner, which was most welcome at the more challenging stages of the consenting and implementation process.”
