“Having been refused planning twice, I have referred to Bruno of BMac Studio who was able to gain planning permission with the assistance of a pre-application which was not advise or deem necessary by the previous architect. I went on to use Bruno on my rental property and would highly recommend his services.”

“On behalf of Space Invaders Loft Conversions Ltd. Scott provides a very professional service and has had a great working relationship with the business for many years now giving us a platform to operate efficiently both in the preparation and on site construction phases of our projects. Essan-K are the only company we would recommend for any design services required.”

“I was extremely pleased with Peter's highly focussed & dedicated approach. He continually went the extra mile during the 2-year project. Of particular note was his awareness of the latest products, and his skills with 3D visualisation software - it was extremely helpful to receive multiple 3D visualisation remodelling options. Highly recommended.”

Miriam Layton Architectural Design

“Miriam has been a brilliant architect for us. We hired her to design a 3 bed, 2 storey extension. We thought we already knew what we wanted in terms of layout and look, but she came back with a number of really exciting ideas that transformed our fairly mundane ideas into really exciting, but affordable designs. We had a number of difficulties with planning, none of them Miriam's fault, causing her to have to revise key details without losing the essence of what we wanted (lots of light and space). She was really succesful and we're really pleased with the outcome. We were very naive about the whole building process before starting the project and Miriam has held our hands throughout and been a fantastic support.”

“I had the ideas but needed Chris's expertise and experience to make it work and also improve. Planning can be a difficult process but with Chris's guidance and advice we got what we wanted. Lastly you need flexibility when working full time and progressing a project - so thanks for the late night calls Chris.”
STUDIO 9010

“PROPOSED NEW EXTENSION AND REFURBISHMENT In writing this reference for Studio 9010, led by Siggi Nepp, I consider she presented a formidable contribution to our project. Siggi offered an excellent blend of design, innovation and robust delivery for which she has a proven track record locally. The proposal included a modern extension to a listed Grade II* property, housing a family games area at lower ground level, new open plan kitchen and living area at ground floor, a master bedroom with ensuite bathroom and a dressing room at first floor level. The proposed external materials were largely an innovative timber rain screen cladding, a modern twist on the use of locally sourced timber. The proposed interiors were designed to allow maximum daylight in and used predominantly white finishes with strong feature colours for a clean, light interior. Siggi is adept at understanding the client’s needs and how best to translate them into creative, functioning environments. She is a pleasure to work with and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her.”

Prince & Gisbey Architects

“We found Prince & Gisbey through a recommendation; we were looking for a young, local architectural practice to guide us through a proposed re-modelling and extension to our recently-purchased 60's bungalow. Matt Gisbey came and visited, talked through in depth our ideas and wishes, and returned a week or two later with his thoughts on paper. We immediately liked some aspects of his design, and realised the value of bringing in a professional. Not everything suggested was to our taste, but between us in the intervening weeks, we honed the plans to achieve a balance between the practical and the aesthetic that would enhance our home and our enjoyment of it, whilst preserving and adding to the character of the property. Due to the coronavirus lockdown, some meetings have been conducted online, with Matt showing us very effective 3D computer generated images that really help to make the project come alive. We are very relaxed with the result, and plans have been submitted for local authority approval. Matt has moved on to the next stage, of detailing all the services, finishes, specifications, etc and to agreeing with us the locating and appointing of suitable building regs consultant and structural engineers. It is reassuring to have his guidance in these matters. As this review is written, no building work has commenced, so I cannot comment on the final outcome yet. However, we have enjoyed the process to date, Matt has followed a logical sequence to get to this point, and has always listened to our ideas, even if he has had to gently point out the practical difficulties of achieving them! We generally have found a good compromise and moved on. Matt himself is personable and good company, and has taken a close interest in our project. We expect to work with him through to the completion, and would recommend his calm, friendly but professional approach to anyone considering using an architect for similar work.”
