“Working with Jimmy Crisp and his associates was a great and valuable learning experience that could not have turned out better than it did. Jimmy truly met, and in many instances, went beyond our expectations. The project, which was a complete gut renovation, went very smoothly and it did come in on budget with the exception of new items that were included after our original quote. Of course there were differences of opinions and long discussions about changes/desired outcomes and new costs, however, I would say that because of Jimmy's constant presence at the site, complete knowledge of exactly what was suppose to happen at all stages of the project and calm manner we escaped situations that could, at the time, have been less satisfactory. Jimmy, the associates and clerical employees of his firm are all a 10 in my book! My experience with Crisp Architects makes me believe that anyone seeking a great architect, backed by a most professional staff, could not do better than to choose Crisp Architects.”

“Be assured that you will be in excellent hands with Stacy at SKM Design. We can not recommend her highly enough! We did not use an architect or designer for our previous 2 renovations and I wish we had known Stacy then. We literally have no regrets with the layout or design choices in our current house. We have a 1920’s traditional colonial and she was excellent at marrying the character of our older home with today’s modern amenities. She leaves no stone unturned, keeps her eyes on the budget, works quickly, is a task master and will come up with a design plan that fits your lifestyle and budget. Stacy will also help you refine or identify your aesthetic if you don’t already have one. For our renovation, she facilitated the bidding process and managed our project every step of the way. She was able to recommend 3 builders for the bidding and a slew of tradespeople. She‘s also a joy to work with and an outstanding human being- you will love having her around.”

“Without Jack my house would never have been built. We needed to tuck this little house into a narrow urban lot in a Historic District and make it look like it was always there. We survived 7! public hearings with heavy revision. Jack remained true to my original vision while accommodating the requirements of many other visions of what my house needed to be. His price was fair, his manner engaging and open. My house won an award and i gained a valued friend. He and and his staff are the best architectural firm ever.”

“I worked with Glenn Goble from Clark and Green to design the house I envisioned. He gave me his all to help me understand how to manifest the plans in my head. He showed me what they looked like using CAD, and journeyed through the process with me, patiently and without self interest. We worked through the obstacles together, imagined and brainstormed, and in the end created a wonderful house plan, the home in which I now live. It took me several years to find an architect who would work with me to express my ideas and vision, and not impose on me his/her own. Stephan Green will accommodate the needs of a client,. Most of the time he is called upon to bring to life structures that meet the clients needs and is hired because of his own aesthetics. He is not directed by his ego , but by the demands and needs of his client. He'll give you what you ask him for directly, or by having you work with another architect in his firm he feels more suited to you. He stays involved in the project and everyone in the office is happy to answer your questions and guide you throughout the process.”

“I am pleased with the services provided by Home Designing Service. I came in with a draft design for a house. I was limited to a width of 30 feet or less in design. Being familiar with building codes, the designer/architect worked with me to include the items in the floor plan that I wanted while meeting the building code requirements. There were ideas I never would have thought of included to solve design issues. Costs were kept down as well. I would recommend this company.”

“Our experience with Don was great from start to finish. Before designing the house we built, he traveled 4 hours to visit the site of the house taking pictures from all angles to determine how best to situate the house on the lot. During the design process, he would take the time to show us things in his own house to compare with what was on the plans. It gave us a better sense of how the plans would translate when we built. After construction started, he was readily available to answer any questions we had about the construction as well as to speak with the builder. His experience with building is a huge asset when it comes to translating the design into a finished product. All in all, our experience was great and we couldn't be happier with the home he designed for us. We highly recommend Don.”

Both projects had major architectural and interior design elements. Julia was very easy to work with, and we found her communication skills, both with us and with our contractor, to be exceptional. Everything was very clear and concise. She really understood our design aesthetic, and how to work that into both our home and our office. She was respectful and appreciative of our suggestions, and very conscientious of our budget. Julia has great suggestions on where to splurge and where you can save some money in different areas of each project. In our commercial project, she was extremely knowledgable and meticulous about meeting all various ADA and IBC codes.
