“We used Gavin Jefcoate to design our new kitchen extension and complete remodel of the downstairs of our home. It's nearly 3 years since work started and we are still as pleased with the results as we were when it was first completed. The initial meetings quickly demonstrated that Gavin understood our brief of what we wanted and why we needed it. The resulting plan was a really exciting change for the house with bold creative elements which also integrated the practical solutions that at the time we were desperate for. Throughout the build Jefcoate Anderson provided project management which took away most of the stresses that go hand in hand with altering any home to this extent. We are still hugely pleased with the results and would strongly recommend using this firm if you are considering a build project.”

“We were fortunate to know the owner and cannot recommend their services enough. DDS created the best use of our property and enabled us to get the most out of the floor space. In addition details & advice on areas such as lighting & layout were excellent and helped us visualise the property before work started. This in turn saved money & time which is never a bad thing. Great also with liaising with suppliers, builders and anyone working on the project. Never had an issue with flexibility and being firm where necessary on any modifications that were considered along the way.”

“Sandy from Block 9 designed for us a large and very quirky 'butterfly roof' extension which is a delight to use as a day to day family eating and living space. The design is beautiful and was delivered despite the troublesome builder that we'd chosen! (Sorry, Sandy) Every aspect of the design and planning process was executed in a short time-frame with even last minute changes approved quickly. The overall result has been to add a bedroom, an extra bathroom and a massive living space to our modest terraced house. I'd recommend Block 9 for even the trickiest of projects.”

“We extended, renovated and altered the ground floor of our rural cottage. Our Architect helped us visualise ideas and consider various alternatives, something we found essential at the pre-contract stage. His patience and attention to our needs at that stage helped us produce the result we wanted in the end. He made suggestions re layout and materials that we might not have otherwise considered. He provided the necessary drawings and plans and liaised with planners, builders and other consultants when required. Once the build got underway, his involvement, as agreed, lessened but he was still available to us, to provide re-assurance, another opinion and technical experience. Our builders were also able to contact him for clarification and advice throughout the project.”

“We hired Jens to reconfigure our 3 bedroom apartment and couldn't be happier with the results. From the initial consultation it was clear that we wanted Jens to manage the project and this took so much stress out of the whole experience. The flat had a complete overhaul; structurally we knocked down walls and made new door openings, we moved the kitchen from the back to the front allowing much more light. Jens was superb not only in understanding and helping our vision but in managing all the requisite paperwork with the various authorities. He found us an excellent developer in Prichard Developments and when we were struggling for interior inspiration introduced us to Julian of Caybo interiors. All parties worked excellently together. We couldn't be happier with the results and thoroughly recommend our architect, neighbour and now friend Jens.”
