About Us

An invaluable resource for interior designers as and retail customers, Roger Oates Design is renowned for signature stripe runners and rugs. The unique woven texture, vibrant designs and bold use of colour set the flooring collections apart and form the company’s iconic handwriting. The flatweave has a unique texture and a finished selvedge edge that makes it ideal for stairs and halls; it can also be joined to create rugs of any size or wall-to-wall fitted carpets. Designs include statement stripe borders and all over classic fine lines in a carefully edited colour palette ranging from quiet, sophisticated neutrals to bold vibrant brights. All the runners and rugs are made from 100% wool and are designed, woven and finished in Britain. Tapis Felt rugs in geometric shapes joined and finished with a blanket stitch. The rugs are bespoke and can be made in customer’s own designs from a choice of 29 colours.

I would like to thank Jane Armstrong for her first class customer service. I had accidentally damaged my Runner and Jane was able to get it repaired all within two weeks. It looks as good as new. Many thanks again

A wonderful experience from start to finish, professional and courteous the product knowledge, fitting and aftercare has all been outstanding. Outstanding in all respects. The quality of the Roger Oates' stair runner is very high. The company's fitter did a meticulous job, never rushed, a real perfectionist. Fantastic stitching on the joins. He involved us and gave good advice when there were options, such as where to connect runners on the landings with those on the the stairs. A top quality underlay used; the carpet is very comfortable under foot and lays on the wooden stairs and landings perfectly. Beautiful made-to-order stair rods. The overall result is absolutely terrific. All topped off with great service from Jane at the Roger Oates team, who arranged everything personally.

I loved my old Roger Oates runner, and I love my new one even more. The product is beautiful and of fantastic quality. The service received from ordering (amazing amount of choice) through to installation was professional, knowledgeable and incredibly helpful. The fitter in particular was able to deal with multiple stairway width changes and turnings to produce an immaculate finish. I would only ever buy my runners from this company.

In July this year we were fortunate to have a bespoke yellow and grey Roger Oates runner in a Cluny design fitted to our staircase at the end of a 6 month renovation project. It is a wonderful finishing touch. The product and service from Roger Oates are both excellent and we would recommend them both without hesitation.

We have used Roger Oates on several of our projects and they have always been very helpful when we suggest using our own designs and colour ways to match the look we are striving to achieve. During the installations, Roger Oates specialized team are extremely good at their job and produce an excellent finish.
