Moe was happy to give advice on materials and design but was also fine working with our design. It was a nice balance. We’ve had mixed experiences with contractors on smaller projects in the past but we’re so glad we hired OC for this project. Everything went as expected and there were no surprises. “I hired Mola Builders to remodel my grandparents bathroom based on a referral. It was a complete renovation down to the studs to accommodate her ADA/special needs.. From selecting the Toto Neorest Toilet, custom cabinet, down to the beautiful limestone counter. Every need was meet including the handicap bars beside the toilet and in the beautiful tiled shower. “Prior to calling Greenwise Construction, we had contacted two other construction companies in the area. We called Greenwise Construction last, told them what we wanted to do to our bathroom, and they offered to come over and see my bathroom the very same day. My husband and I met with Andy and his father Daniel, went over the details of what we wanted done and spoke over the costs. We decided to go with Greenwise Construction because they provided excellent customer service and took their own time to go above and beyond our meetings to research design solutions and answer any questions we had. Not only did we feel that their experience qualified them to do this project, we also felt very comfortable with them as a team - I dont know if it was because its a close knitted family group of workers, but my husband and I had an instant connection to their team and that also helped us make our decision to go along with Greenwise Construction. During the estimating process - they seemed to be very detailed and made sure to let us know of any challenges that they may come across - this helped us feel comfortable in the sense that they would not give us any surprises with constant change orders - resulting in additional money paid out throughout the project. We were most concerned in the waterproofing process for the shower and floors since we have had problems with this before in another bathroom at a previous residence. They used the most innovative and best products out there when it came to waterproofing. They maintained open communication throughout this process, in particular, because they knew it was something we were concerned about, which helped give us peace of mind and made us feel like our money wasn't being wasted away. Furthermore, after the bathroom was finished, my husband and I were so happy with the outcome. Everything came out perfectly. All the time and money invested into this project became worth it. I can now enjoy a walk-in shower inside my new beautifully renovated bathroom, and appreciate all the design details we spent weeks deciding on, such as the new sink fixtures, cabinetry, flooring, color scheme, tiling, etc. I thank Greenwise Construction for all the hard work and attention to detail they put into our bathroom project. “Jim is a quality builder with a strong aesthetic sense. And he's willing to move as quickly as possible, which was an important factor in keeping costs down in this inflating economy. He was also very collaborative with us and our design ideas. Put that all together and we highly recommend him. We thought our new house-- a 1950s cottage-- would just need "a bit of work." It turned into a major project. We were so fortunate to have Jim on our side, figuring out ways to deal with each of the unpleasant surprises that were being uncovered-- bearing beams that were cut off so they didn't reach the wall, clogged drain lines, disappearing water lines, a gas line that had no connection to gas, and on and on. Of course, those surprises expanded the budget, but Jim was really focused on keeping these surprise costs under control. The bright spot there was that with each new piece of bad news, Jim was always able to propose a solution aimed at keeping the costs of the fixes as budget-friendly as possible. A bonus to having Jim as our contractor is that he's a skilled wood workers, so the storage benches for both the front and side patios, the mantle, the floating shelves and even the utilitarian storage shelves in the garage were all done by him. We are particularly pleased with the mantle! If you want a quality job, done on time, and to a high standard, he's the guy you want to hire.”
