I was dreading the thought of construction but the professionals at Mosby from the engineers, to the design crew to the craftsmen who worked on our project made the entire process flow so smoothly that before I knew it we had our marvelous living space redone and enjoying the fact that it was so much more functional than it had been before. Mosby took a great deal of time in the planning stages of our project, asking questions about what we liked about our living space and what things we wanted to change. With such great dialogue and attention to detail, we were able to create a kitchen, laundry room and three season room that is MUCH better suited to our work flow, entertainment habits, and daily needs than the original home layout. You helped us update our ugly, non-functional basement into something that we could be proud of by turning it into a space where we could have room for guests, an office for my husband, a work-out area, a media room, an updated bathroom, a computer area and extra storage for my teenage son, an art space for my teenage daughter, a kitchenette for morning coffee and parties, floor to ceiling pantry cabinets for extra storage, a hearth area that is Pinterest worthy and all within budget and on my timeline. In addition to that, the new laminate flooring, agreeable grey painted walls, new white trim, and painted black ceilings are fabulous. Now, I'm a realist and this isn't my first renovation project. I knew there would be extenuating factors that could cause the timeline to extend and surprises that might increase the agreed-upon budget. But, in general, everything went smoothly. I was incredibly impressed with your guys, Dilshat and Farouz. They were some of the HARDEST WORKING people I have ever met. I could always count on them to be here on time and I felt comfortable with them in my home and knew that they were doing exactly what they needed to be doing to get the job done right. Not only were they hard-working, they were incredibly skilled, especially with things like tile work. My shower looks absolutely beautiful and the custom niche they created is one of the best I've ever seen. Something I particularly appreciated about you was your communication. You always answered the phone when I called and returned texts promptly. Additionally, you checked in frequently to let me know your timeline and let me know if you were ever running late. I would use Apex Homes and your team for jobs in the future. Not only that, I would recommend you to friends and family. She has lots of great ideas, but as long as you tell her upfront what your budget is she will stay within your parameters. We are in the process of fixing up a house and have asked her to help with this project too. Already so excited!”

“Heartlands installed a screen room on our covered back porch: They removed the supporting beams because they were not close enough to meet code, installed Geodeck composite decking, installed aluminum railing, floor to ceiling screens, two outdoor ceiling fans, and an outdoor tabletop propane heater. They also removed the old railings and a metal circular staircase that had been cut into the back porch by the previous owner. The whole project went beautifully. We had scheduled appointments for estimates with three different companies, and had already met with one before we talked with Larry Brost. The first company had given us a bid of almost $20,000 for just a screen room, which did not include replacing the supporting beams or existing floorboards. They were just going to lay plywood over the existing boards, which we would then have had to find some way to protect from the weather. They were also going to install only one ceiling fan on the porch. Larry gave us a bid for approximately half their price, but it included replacing the supporting beams, the existing floorboards with no-maintenance composite boards, two ceiling fans and a propane heater. We were impressed by his honesty, his knowledgeability, and his suggestions to keep the overall costs down. For example, we had been thinking about having a three season room instead of a screen room, but he advised that would cost a good deal more and we wouldn't get that much more use out of it as opposed to a screen room. After talking with him, my husband told me to cancel the third appointment, we had found the company to do the job. Larry kept us informed as to when his crews would be at our house, and they showed up promptly as promised. The only delays were due to things like weather which were beyond his control. The crews were polite, professional and cleaned up the work site at the end of each day. We love our new screen room. The fans make a HUGE difference when the weather is warmer. We haven't had a chance to use the heater yet since it hasn't been cold enough, but I was shown how to turn it works when they first brought it out and it is very simple to use and generates quite a bit of heat. I think we have used our back porch more in the past month than we have in the past five years combined, and we're already thinking that we should have the same thing done with our front porch. I highly recommend this company.”

“After visiting several well known kitchen and bath firms in the St. Louis metro area, I followed a suggestion from our custom builder, Chris Bednarek of C&S Custom Builders, and called Jeff Carapella of Custom Wood Products. Jeff offered quality cabinet choices, design guidance, and personal service all within a reasonable price range. He will work with one's own designer or architect without being obstructive. We love the high quality cabinets and his help with counter top and backsplash choices was priceless. Jeff was more than patient as I tend to work the deisgn process full circle a couple of times around just to make sure it is really what I want to live with for many years; re-arraging the layout, moving from wood tones, to paint colors, to white and back again. Enough to drive most crazy but he understood. Jeff was very helpful with the process. White was the final choice as our kitchen area receives a grey light in the late afternoon and I wanted the area to remain fresh and bright looking late in the day and winter months. I did not want too yellow or too grey a shade of white. This meant looking and searching for the perfect "white" which Jeff found in the end. The result is happy, fresh and just what I wanted. It is a timeless design.”
