“James was involved from the initial stages of our project from the conception of the idea to formulating our designs onto paper. We started by telling James broadly what we wanted. Which literally was. “Pitch roof, downstairs toilet with shower, larger open plan kitchen with living space and as we have a south facing garden I want as much natural light into the property as possible. Versatile space for the kids to run and study in in the future.” We went through a few iterations on how we wanted the layout of the kitchen to be which wasn’t really needed for the application stage but we wanted to make sure we could visualize the space we had as we had 2 daughters and one is very energetic. I initially wanted an island in the middle where it would create storage for us and a general hang out area for breakfast etc. James said this was a good idea but we would lose the versatility of the space as the island would be a fixed feature. He came back with some suggestions and we decided to go with the “L” shaped kitchen breakfast bar as he suggested. During these processes there was a sharing of pinintests, whats app messages and a couple of face to face mornings for James to pen down our vision. Once we approved the final designs, James provided through his team of contacts the engineering designs, frame details, final rendering of designs, build over agreement for Thames water, electrical layout, bathroom plumbing layout. He also did the planning permission for us, liaising with the council and answering any questions if needed. Recommended a buildings regulation company. He also advised us on the party wall agreement too. He recommended builders too. We’re very happy with the end result and have already recommended James to family and friends.”
