“Full Refurb, including re-wire, new kitchen, second bathroom, floor levelling. Asset PM did an excellent job of refurbishing & insulating our North London flat. It was badly laid-out and draughty when we bought it for a good price. We decided to invest the saving in a new kitchen, 2nd bathroom, insulation and upgrade to modern electrics. After speaking with various builders we settled on Asset PM because of the combination of Karolina's calm sense of organisation and Robert's extensive previous build experience. The team was easy to deal with and kept us informed as the works progressed (we briefly moved out to family). One of the things that impressed us is that Asset PM honoured their original quote even though costs went up mid-way through the project due to unexpected inflation. From as early as the initial quote, they produced detailed plans, costs and timings with clear thought about the whole process. “Greg was introduced and recommended to us by Ana of High End Kitchen to complete Refresh of Kitchen and Rip and Rebuild of the Extension. Budget was fixed and most of the quotes received barely covered building work. Seems the quotes were post code based. It was refreshing, Greg responded by making an appointment to review the build on site with Ana. Also explained the details of what will be quoted on rather than just the location of the post-code x £K per square Meter, with written confirmation of this and a risk mitigating - progressive weekly payment plan, which spanned the duration of the work. In essence, Wife and I were sold on Greg's honesty and professional approach to us, even before the quotation dropped in my inbox. The Other main point which convinced us to use Greg (Design By London) was his preference to focus on one build at a time, rather than spread across a number of build projects. As agreed the Work Started, on most days of the week there were 2 or 3 on site, specially during any initial demolishment/Rebuild work, so the external shell can be completed as soon as possible. All of the Additional resources Greg brings in are courteous and absolutely trust worthy. Other important fact is, as the kitchen was being rebuilt by Greg and co-working with Ana, all measurements for the kitchen furniture and its fitting into the rebuilt shell was 100% perfect. With Greg, there is no need for a Project Manager to oversee the work, Greg will take on that role and ensure all is completed within the agreed window in a logical manner to reduce/eliminate waiting time. As it usually happens, once the work commenced with the confidence on the quality of the work and speed, we started to add more to the build, which again goes through the formal detailed quotation for us to decide to progress or not. Usually as expected, we accepted and added to the refurbishment/build. During the initial shell demolishment and re-build, there will be unexpected findings which require additional spend, these are unavoidable and needs to be factored in, as the structural survey will not spot, rotten beams or unsafe previous build etc.. Apart from the dust and noise, We have been extremely satisfied with Greg and his team, their speed of build, finish and very tidy and safe approach.
