Matt understood the requirements of working on a period property and how the refurbishment should be managed to enhance the character, aesthetics and performance of the building. The project was for a complete refurbishment both outside and in, including a new slate roof, repointed brickwork and new heritage timber sash windows externally and a full refurbishment of all rooms, bathrooms, kitchen, sauna and steam room internally. For example, our home in central London had 2 bathrooms right next to one another and a hallway. Bart suggested doing away with the hallway and combining that with the bathroom spaces to create one large master suite which included a master bathroom with bespoke marble interior, steam shower, large bathtub AND a double sinked dressing room with gorgeous Hermès leather closet doors and fabrics. With Bart, there is no detail too small. Quality is impeccable. He is very good at sourcing and passes along these benefits to his clients. He examines the situation and comes up with a bespoke solution which doesn't compromise on quality while being mindful of costs - a tough undertaking. He is both transparent and honest.
