Westbury Garden Rooms

The wonderful team at Westbury designed, advised and constructed our orangery, alongside our general builders, in the hot summer of 2022. Nothing was too much trouble from start to end of the build including everything from the tricky planning process, we are in a conservation area, to finishing touches such as lights and flooring advice. Any issues during the build, or indeed since, have been dealt with in a consultative and timely manner with client service at the forefront. It is by far the best thing we have ever done in home improvements. It has totally changed how we use our entertaining spaces. It is warm in winter and cool in summer - a complete transformation from the previous UPVC conservatory. And it looks stunning! We would unhesitatingly recommend Westbury. They are a rare thing these days - a quality company who consistently over deliver on their promises with absolutely no quibbling.

Waste of money, overpriced garden rooms. I had an orangery built by Westbury five years ago, Ive had the roofer back numerous times to repair the same leaks and Im actually starting to doubt whether he can do his job properly. Theres nothing special about this company, the marketing is very good with some very nice pictures that get this company business with clients.

I have now had two separate bespoke garden rooms installed by Westbury, one in Surrey and the second in Jersey. I have been very satisfied in all respects with the results and would not hesitate to recommend Westbury.

We had a large orangery extension built by Westbury in 2010 which has transformed the back of our house. Previously the only access to the garden was through the utility room or an underused uPVC conservatory. We now have a huge, sociable kitchen with a table placed under the roof lantern and great views of the garden. As with any large building project there were a few moments of stress, but on the whole the build went pretty smoothly and I always felt we had excellent people working on our behalf, from the architect to the builders, plumber, electrician and project manager. I really enjoyed the collaboration because Westbury were as interested in the details as I was, for example having reclaimed bricks stained to the right colour to match the existing house and plaster mouldings copied from ones in another room. Since the work was completed we've had good after-sales care and can happily recommend the company to others.

Last year we had an extension done to our house. Westbury supplied and fitted the two lanterns and folding doors. They are excellent, everybody comments how beautiful they are. This year our son had an extension done to his house, without hesitation we asked Westbury to do the 4 metre Lantern and folding doors. Again it is beautiful. Westbury is one of the best suppliers I have experienced. They are very professional. They are always on time . I can highly recommend Westbury to anybody. It was a pleasure doing business with them. We added an orangery to extend our existing kitchen to create a large open plan room for kitchen, dining and seating. We chose Westbury mainly because we wanted a bespoke solution, they clearly had lots of experience of what does (and doesn't) work and they came up with designs that we really liked which brought to life and greatly improved our own half-baked ideas! We used Westbury to do everything....design, planning permission, building works (foundations, knocking through etc), building the orangery, installing underfloor central heating (including most of the plumbing), lighting and other electrics, internal floor tiling and they made and installed various bespoke fittings to help integrate the 'old' and 'new' areas into a single living space. We found all the Westbury staff to be friendly and professional and importantly they kept us well informed throughout. Most have been with the company for years and are passionate about doing a good job. Any building work always comes with an element of disruption and the real test of any firm is how they deal with the unforeseen issues that inevitably crop up - we didn't have many, but all were sorted promptly and professionally. Overall the whole design and build experience was a pleasure and the end result has exceeded our expectations.
