“Pikes Peak Construction has done several projects for me. The latest one was a removal and installation of HVAC, dry walling laundry room, relocating water heater and duct work, laying laminate flooring, painting, and lighting work. They were efficient, on time and very thorough. One thing I appreciate is that they have workers here daily with no big waiting periods in between. They employ excellent subcontractors and their own employees are superb. The quality of the work is always unbeatable. They listen to what you want and give input as to what will work best for your money.”

“We moved from California to Colorado and bought a house that had never been updated since it was built in 1980. It looked awful but had good bones. It had carpet throughout, linoleum, separate but large kitchen, popcorn ceilings, windows that needed replacing, orange peel wall texture, no mantle on the 15x20ft moss rock fireplace, small wood baseboards and door casings, no lighting or ceiling fans, outdated window coverings in the living room that actually had an insert into the wall to accompany some of the thick curtains, square corners, a mirrored wetbar in the long hallway with a 'cat perch' or landing for plants on top of it, thin plank stair rails, 1980 appliances, etc. I interviewed several interior designers and remodelers for this and decided to go with Andy Sikora of Sikora Construction & Remodel & his wife,. Kathy at Speas Interior Design. I knew it was a huge project and wanted someone who had extensive experience and testimonials so I went with him and his wife's company. Working together as a design and remodel team, his crew got to work tearing down walls in between the kitchen and dining, opening up entry ways, tearing out wetbars, rebuilding the kitchen and cabinet space including framing, sheetrock, hvac, building stairwalls, retexturing, painting, trimwork, gas, plumbing, electrical and lighting, backsplash installation and whatever else was on the scope of work to open up the kitchen into the dining and living room and make an updated, open concept living area. Andy and his crew were very professional, got things done quickly and expertly, cleaned up after themselves, were polite, positive and a joy to work with. He provided a detailed scope of work at the beginning and then monthly thereafter, we chose what we wanted to do, any change orders needed to be signed off by us and there were no financial surprises.. I was also glad I hired Sikora Construction and Speas Interior Deisgn because I wanted flawless communication between the design and construction so we did not waste time or energy to complete this remodel. I highly recommend Sikora Construction and Speas Interior Design for any of your remodeling work.”
Dutch's Home Improvement, Inc.

“Shopping Around: We contacted Dutch’s home improvement because our old aluminum windows and patio door were causing water damage because of condensation in the winter months. We also contacted several other places to install windows and sat through each’s hour long demo on why their windows were so superior and how that no one had this technology and such. After doing a ton of research I found that everyone’s windows were very comparable. Argon, low-e, rubber spacers, Steel, aluminum or fiberglass reinforcements, double locks, double sliders, brass rollers, and so one are established features of most windows you will see. There is only so much you can do to 2 pieces of glass surrounded by plastic before you have done everything. I figured out what you are really paying for is warranty and quality of installers. In the end I liked the attitude and low pressure sales of Gary Dutch. I did also like how he explained why he installs AMERIMAX windows and the difference between them (basically with AMERIMAX they have most of the bells and whistles come standard where with Aside you pay extra to get them). Another factor going for Dutch’s home improvement was that they were able to install the windows quicker than some of their competitors. Special circumstances: We were installing 2 windows into bathrooms where the windows were actually in the bath/shower stall and the seal around the window was rotten and had to be redone. Gary was willing to work with us to delay the install and ordering of the bathroom windows until the window frame was redone even help us order the correct replacement manstone window seal to match the rest of the house. The Install: The installers showed up at my house and got right to work they were very polite and worked very hard to keep the mess to a minimum. They put down tarps when they were working inside and made sure to vacuum up any mess they made. After the install of a very large window I noticed the stone windows seal below it had cracked. Without complaining the installer set to work to remove the old seal and install a new one without charging me for the new seal. On the Outside they installed white steel trim around the windows and caulked everything. They had forgot to order a toe lock for the patio door but came back the next week and installed it along with a screen that had been damaged. The Result: My Wife and I are very happy with the windows they make the house look a lot more updated from the outside. We would definitely use them again. The Outside trim (casement I think they call it) is very stunning. They are easy to operate and the 2 double sliders served the purpose of letting us move one of our couches downstairs.”
