“I hired Steve and Jeffrey out of 7 contractors that I had interviewed. I chose them because they were personable, knowledgeable, had good energy, and listened to what I was asking to be done. I have an older home and wanted an update and changes made without taking away from some of the unique characteristics that I fell in love with in the first place. Steve and Jeffrey offered suggestions and worked with all of the issues we came across in a professional manner. When issues did arise, they were quick to resolve them. They were very fair when it came to the cost of any additional, unforeseen work. In addition, the crew that worked on my home were great. I never felt uncomfortable when they were in my home and I always trusted them to be in my home when I couldn't be there.”

“John Raymond and son provided us with extension outdoor landscaping. This included an large retaining wall, landscape pavers and concrete work. All the work was very professional and turned out beautifully. This definately increased the value of our home. John also paid close attention to what we as owners wanted instead of trying to influence us to his ideas.”

“We needed our kitchen redone. We went around and got three estimates. Rafe was willing to work with us and see our vision of our future kitchen. He had a "can-do" attitude and showed a high level of expertise in designing our new kitchen. His employees followed his designs and were very courteous and respectful of our concerns. They completed the project in a timely fashion. The subcontractors were here when they said they would come, and stayed late as needed. Before leaving they would ask if we were happy with the job. The finished product exceeded our expectations. Everyone who sees the kitchen are wowed by it! We highly recommend Big Tyke Construction to anyone needing home remodeling done.”

“My husband was very ill from multiple fatal illnesses. He wanted his porch to be a sun room I bought 3 walls of Pella doors. My original contractor did a substandard job and I fired him. After interviewing many Pella trained contractors I believe Kevin is the MOST trustworthy. He gave me a fair price and he and his workers did MORE than what was promised. The workman really cared about fixing my job and turning the disaster in to a beautiful room. I would use them again and will tell my friends to use Blarney Stone for everthing. (06/09/2018”

“Karl Smith, owner of Unique Construction was wonderful to work with. He explained clearly all details of the job about what needed to be done and how he would do it. He always took time to answer my questions which was very important to me. He worked diligently to get all permits and inspections done quickly to keep the job moving forward. The job he did included re-building a non-permitted covered patio on the rear of my house that was on my house when I bought it. And removing a covered porch from the front of the house that was also not permitted and encroached property lines. Roof replacement was then needed on the front of the house. On the rear, the existing porch roof had to be jacked up, existing concrete pillars removed and footings dug and poured, and new pillars re-built. It was a huge messy job, but when he was done, there was no mess left for me to clean up. I love that. From our first meeting, Karl was straight-forward with his requirements to actually do the job. He was knowledgeable about what would need to be done, county and city codes and permitting requirements. I would surely recommend him to anyone. He also does remodeling, and building from the ground up.”
