“We first drove through the Cottages in September 2015. We knew instantly that this was the place for us. The sidewalks on both sides of the street, beautiful landscaping, sufficient parks and open spaces, wide welcoming porches, all wrapped around 3 heavily treed ponds, combined to create a neighborhood like no other that we’d seen. After touring the Seaside model, we went straight to the office to sign papers. The build of the house was well planned and well executed. We met for a day with the Cottages staff to go through selections and customizations. A project manager was assigned early in the build process, and this person made sure that the details decided during the selection step were accurately implemented. A walk through with the project manager was done at roughly the half way point, to make sure everyone was on the same page. The project manager kept an eye on things throughout, and this reduced the likelihood of errors, and made for a very small punch list as the project wound down. The project came in on time, and on budget. The house turned out perfect. We love everything about it. Thanks to Scott and Michelle Cook, and the rest of the Cottages staff for doing such a wonderful job on our house.”

“Not to often in life do individuals have an opportunity to build a house of their dreams. Our experience started in February of 2014 with Firetti Builders and their "Team". After interviewing five different contractors Firetti Builders were our choice, and it was the right choice for us. Joe Firetti is the head of this team who listens to what his customers want and helps incorporate those ideas into a custom home that is structurally sound and esthetically pleasing. His Project Manager Jay is hands on and works with the subcontractors to assure quality control of each and every phase of construction. Michelle and Debbie work behind the scenes to coordinate and work with the customer to provide updates on costs and other phases of the project. High standards, attention to detail and quality assurance have provided us with a home that we have received many compliments from both family and friends. “After spending one year looking at new homes throughout the Wilmington, NC area, my wife and I found that every time we came across a home that we loved it was built by Hagood. Once we purchased a property we went to Hagood and introduced ourselves. The builder is Jim Kenny, his wife Troy, designs the homes. Right away we knew that they were the team for us. Troy's designs are open and cheerful and the space is well thought out. Jim and his team are practical builders that understand budgets. They can build you a mansion or a wonderful beach bungalow. Throughout the build process all the members of the Hagood team have been responsive to our needs and our worries. Todd Plocharczyk was our direct link to Hagood Homes and oversaw all the details. I wouldn't consider building a new home without him.”
