“We found Rory when we decided to do some remodeling to our kitchen / living room and deck area of our San Francisco home. We put requests for quotes out to three contractors. Rory was the only one to respond quickly. When we met him we immediately felt comfortable with him. We described the work we wanted done and he made additional recommendations and helped us determine best solutions for things we were unsure how to accomplish. His quote was spot on without us even letting him know what our target budget was for the project. We had no reservations going with him without even looking at other contractors (which it turns out was good since the other contractors took months to get back to us!). Rory had other projects going, but scheduled ours in sensibly and set our expectations for the timeframe to finish the project. We were pleasantly surprised when, even though we added components to the scope, he and his crew completed the work well within the timeframe expected. His crew was professional and the job site cleaned up each evening. We have since had Rory come in to do piece meal projects and we know we can count on him to help us with anything we have need for (no job seems to small), and when needed he is able to recommend quality sub contractors, all of whom have done wonderful work (painters, electrician, etc.). We highly recommend Rory as a general contractor for any of your home improvement projects. He can take a job from start to finish professionally, for a good price with quality results.”

“Manny and his crew are on time, honorable, efficient and extremely neat. The Keystone builders installed our new kitchen, doors, windows and even rain gutters plus repaired tiled flooring with minimal disruption and lots of care. The work was so meticulous I was able to delay the interior painting for another year and instead their awesome team painted the exterior of the house in half the time we planned. I look forward to working with them again!”

“Update from fall 2014: We hired AOC again for a set of smaller projects; painting the front of the house, replacing windows and putting a door in an exterior wall. Kyle and his team was fantastic, skilled, and trustworthy throughout. They stayed on schedule, on budget, and as we now have 2 kids and way less time, we were thrilled at how proactive Kyle is with excellent decision-making and instincts. He's been incredibly responsive since the project has finished, including bringing his electrician out to help with what I thought was a faulty LED fixture and which actually was just an incandescent bulb replacement. Whoops. They were all very generous about that one. I've heard stories of contractors disappearing after the final check is written, and we've had the opposite experience with AOC. We will indeed hire them again! Original review: We worked with Kyle at Art of Construction on our substantial project, including both renovation and new construction. We couldn't be more happy with the entire process - he's really great at working with project owners, staying on top of details, problem-solving when issues come up, is very collaborative, tech-savvy, has an eye for design, and is a nice guy to boot. Our project was fixed-bid, and change orders were only when obviously necessary (such as adding new windows to the project scope). He finished the project on-time and within-budget, neither of which we were actually assuming would happen. We worked hard at being good clients, but he exceeded our expectations and we're looking forward to working with him again.”
