“This husband and wife team were able to bring to life a powder room I had envisioned but couldn’t make happen. I had seen a sink and pedestal on Houzz and Pinterest that I loved but couldn’t find in the states. They were able to duplicate the design at a reasonable cost and pull together the rest of the bathroom for a complete look. Their communication skills are top notch, their employees were there when they said they’d be there, always neat and cleaning up as they went along.”

“Between 2002 and 2003, Michael Ipsan/Horizon took a small 1,800 square foot circa 1942 farmhouse and integrated an addition that more than tripled the size of the house and resulted in a beautiful contemporary farmhouse, with upgrades to plumbing, electrical, windows and siding in the original part of the house. The integration was seamless and the project came in on-time and on-budget, with wonderful workmanship. While we had retained an architect for the overall design, Michael made many useful suggestions on tweaks to the design that significantly improved the outcome. The kitchen and pantry were recognized by HGTV in their American Home 2005 show, and in 2008 the house was recognized with a spot on the Historic Garden Week in Virginia tour, both testaments to the quality of the construction. We've had other friends who've had nightmare construction projects with other builders; our experience was exactly the opposite. Warranty issues were minor, and Horizon has stood behind the construction even to this day. In the years since it was completed we've been happy to have Michael walk other prospective clients through the house to see what was done, which speaks to our respect for his work and honesty. We can highly recommend Horizon to anyone considering a custom home builder.”

“I don't normally review anything unless I am either super impressed or extremely mad. And I have to say, I am so super impressed and extremely happy with my new kitchen. I just bought a house in Rockville area, and I hated the existing kitchen. After scrambling through the websites, I came upon Cyrus Construction. So, I gave it a try. From first call to the last hour that the crews were here, I had a smooth and great service, plus the absolute workmanship. James was so courteous and patient when I had him explain certain things to me over and over, again and again. The crews were punctual, and very polite. Whatever I want done, I just call the office, and I have it taken care of by the crews. Besides the service, they also have great selections of cabinet and granite counter top. The products that James presented to me are beautiful and of top quality. The only frustration I had with this kitchen renovation was what to choose. Anyway, I ended up with the Bianco Antico granite and Vanilla Cream Pewter Glaze cabinet. This combination of cabinet, counter top, knobs, lighting, and even vent is absolute gorgeous. Every time I walk in this new kitchen, I feel "Gooood"!”

“As I began my search for a contractor to do some major renovations on my house, I found the task a bit daunting to say the least. I set aside a couple of days from work and spent them interviewing potential contractors. Nearing the end of the second day, I still hadn’t found someone I was totally sold on, then in walked Kurt Ozbey. I immediately knew he was the one I wanted working on my house. He has a very easy manner and I trusted him from the start. He told me he only does one job at a time and would be at my house every day until it was finished. And that is exactly what he did. Not only is he professional and reliable, he did a fabulous job. I live in a very old house in Georgetown: he knew how to work around all the problems that entails. This was no small job. Kurt and team, completely renovated my kitchen, bathroom, built two closets, replaced three windows, a door and put a toilet in my basement. I now have a brand new house. “We used Silva for our recent bathroom remodel and were quite pleased during the project and are enjoying the new bathroom. Harol is the owner and he is incredibly responsive and had great ideas and suggestions as the project moved along and if the crew encountered an issue, Harol also came up with solutions or alternatives.
