Their lead contractor, Mihai Vatajelu, is multi-skilled, an excellent craftsman, and brings in the jobs to the highest quality finishes brilliantly on time and on - or under - budget. He is highly professional in getting the job done but hugely caring to make sure that any disruption is minimal. He is totally trustworthy and is scrupulous in only charging for hours worked. He is the only builder I have ever felt totally confident in recommending unreservedly to my friends - and they have been delighted with the great works he has done for them.”

“We cannot speak highly enough of I D Smith Construction Services. We instructed them to fully refurbish our 1930s semi with the addition of a single storey extension. The project included new external render, full rewire, replumb, fresh plastering, new roof, bespoke carpentry, new gravel driveway, new kitchen and new bathrooms amongst many other items. There's not much these guys can't turn their hands to. We found Ian and his team a pleasure to deal with. They were reliable and trustworthy and most importantly delivered an excellent finish throughout. As is inevitable with major building work we did incur additional, unforeseen costs but these were reasonable and proportionate and Ian kept us informed throughout. What we loved in particular was Ian's ability to find solutions to any problems we encountered. His calmness throughout the project helped keep our stress levels down. We hope to work with Ian, Kieron, Phil and Stuart again in the future (possibly a patio) once we have saved up! Highly recommended.”

“Nick and his team did a fantastic job on a loft extension and rear extension we had done during the summer of 2017. The quality of work was excellent during each stage of the job and they made the whole process stress free and were a pleasure to have working in the house. Nick broke down the price for everything and made us aware of each payment we made and what this was for and the online job site he uses was very helpful for us. All the team we very friendly and hard working and very diligent and were a pleasure to have working in the house. The aftercare was also great and Nick was always available to discuss anything on the house and give instruction / advice when the situation arose. I strongly recommend this company”
