“Steve and his crew at Made to Last Building Renovations did the installation of our commercial millwork in the Shaw Retail store in Victoria. The project was very complex containing wood columns, hanging wood bulkheads, oversize wood panels that needed to be scribed to drywall. Steve and his team had no difficulty with this install and executed it to a high level of quality. Communication was really good, they answer their phones when I need to get a hold of them and they are proactive on updating us on the status of the job. We are based out of Calgary AB, so it can be difficult to manage a job from out of town, Made to Last pretty well managed the entire install of the project. Billing and was fair and professionally done and there were no change order surprises. We would most certainly use Made to Last Building Renovations again in the future and are happy to recommend them to anyone looking for a solid, honest, quality oriented contractor.”

“Heidi and Greg of GNB Builders were our general contractors (from site prep to final landscaping) for a large addition (designed by Dan McGrath http://danielmcgrath.ca/), to our existing small home. Heidi and Greg were extremely easy to work with, and responsive to our questions, concerns or suggestions. During our build, we were not able to be onsite very often, as we lived in a different province. Heidi and her assistant, Kelsey Ann were very good at communicating with us through the building process, which took 13 months. I would absolutely hire GNB again, if we were to build another house...but that is not in the books because we love the one they built for us! From friends who "know" we have received the highest compliments on our home and the quality of the work.”

“Over the last 6 years, we have had the great pleasure of working with Woodcrafters Group on 3 of our home renovations. They have demolished a large sunken bar and rebuilt , involving a lot of millworker and cabinetry. In 2011, they undertook a complete upper floor addition, including framing, structural work, new roof, and windows, all trades involved exterior and interior. And lastly in 2013, they demolished and rebuilt a full new front porch and driveway. On all our projects we have found them to be 100 % professional, the projects came in on budget and on time and the trades were reliable , helpful and friendly. We have recommended them, and would use them again with no hesitatation.”

“We were introduced to Alair Delta, Peter Nielsen, by our designer SGDI. There were two contractors who submitted a detail plan and an estimate to us at that time. Our family decided to go with Alair Delta and we were very happy with Peter and the entire Alair team, and the outcome of their work. The project started right away as soon as both parties signed the agreement. It was dead in the winter with snow and ice, and the weather was grim with repeated rain days and nights. Alair team and our project manager Travis was there every day supervising the work and the trades relentlessly. It moved along very well until the renovation was completed. The delivery was a little delay due to a few undecided decisions on our part, but we were nonetheless extremely delighted to see how our home had transformed and how beautiful it is now compare to before it was renovated. Peter is professional, always keeps his promises, accommodating, and very easy to work with and talk to. His positive energy and outlook, and enthusiasm can be felt by everyone around him throughout the entire project. Peter and my son become good friends and I have nothing but only great things to say about Alair Delta. There are a few surprises that Alair had delivered with no cost attached to it. Alair charges the profit margin higher than other contractors/builders (partly due to its franchising rate) but the quality of their work in many aspects had exceeded our expectations. Travis, our project manager, was very approachable, friendly and detail-oriented, and very accommodating to our needs as well. Peter delivered exactly what we want in our home, and is willing to go extra miles to make some changes to accommodate our wishes. Peter and Travis were both very calm when problems arise. We were not so sure what our home would be like if we went with the other contractor. Fortunately we chose Alair Delta and we have come to love Peter and his team. The entire process was overwhelming but with Alair Delta, it was not as stressful as we had initially imagined. We feel strongly that we can trust Peter and his team to carry out the work with integrity.
