“We contracted with Chris Jenkins to build our retirement home in Canon City, Colorado. At the time, we were currently living in Ohio and thus, built our house "long distance" working with Chris via telephone and email. Even before we had committed to Chris, he spent many hours with us designing the home and helping us pick out a lot for our house. The construction of the house was done in a timely manner, meeting all of our planning needs. From the quality perspective, the house is exceptional. “This builder is highly respected in the community (Southern Colorado). he agreed to work with us even though our building site was up to 75 miles away from his office. He has a contract with us that includes almost every aspect of the building. With our input over several meetings, this contract firmly guides all aspects of the building. He also has good working relationships with almost all needed contractors. He has been inclusive when we indicated the need to seek specific service for up-scale work that is only available in Colorado's larger metro areas. About 15 years ago, we had one person extensively re-model a 1977 house in the Denver area. The sale of that house, which occurred last summer, is what we're using to finance this new construction. We liked the former house very much and have incorporated many of the aspects of the former house into the new construction. Since the construction is in a rural area of Colorado (an area that both my husband and I know from childhood) we need updated sources and ideas for some parts of this project.
