“I was moving house and although upsizing had limited loft space. The opposite of what I had in the house I was moving out of. I have always been a hoarder and had kept literally everything from theatre programmes to bus tickets, Birthday cards and letters to school books, cuddly toys to clothes. I needed to declutter and fast and I didn’t know where to start as it was like my whole life was in these of boxes and truth be told I did not want to have to throw any of it out. Maria was amazing. What was a huge mountain to climb for me she made seem so easy. It was an extremely emotional process for me but Maria made me realise I didn’t need boxes and boxes of stuff. I have kept the very special items but now have one memory box, rather than 100! I am forever grateful as since moving I have realised all those boxes would have been a total burden and what is the point in moving into a lovely new home and taking all your junk with you only to hide it away?”

“Homefulness came with smiles and enthusiasm. I left in the morning with instructions to "do your best" and came back to an astonishing sight. Two closets, organised beautifully. Oils and vinegar on one shelf, spices (alphabetised, of course) and cooking stuff on another; all things baking on a third. The second closet was kitchen equipment, also beautifully organised, with PLENTY OF SPACE LEFT OVER! Kitchen cabinets reworked as well. I was convinced that they must have thrown out half my stuff in order to make everything fit so nicely, but in fact, there is nothing missing at all. They will change your life and make your home way better.”

“Instead of wasting cash and cluttering my bookshelves with yet another anodyne self-help book, I opted for a tailor-made solution that could make a difference. I worked with Elizabeth to sort out my paper clutter and streamline daily clutter so that I could feel less stressed and overwhelmed when my work schedule gets crazy. Elizabeth was very supportive and gave me lots of practical tips, which I have already adopted in my daily routine. “This was my first time using this service, I had a lovely lady Pauline who kindly helped me clear my clutter from my tiny sitting room, and helped me sort out my kitchen counters and cupboard under sink (I have way too many cloths/tea towels) during our 3 hour session. I have arthritis so it was great having an extra pair of hands. Pauline was friendly, chatty and non judgemental, I have collected a lot of stuff over the years and I do try to regularly clear clothes and other items, this has given me a kick up the derrière, I found it so nice to relax in my sitting room after all the clutter was gone. I can’t afford to pay for this service on a regular basis, but I thought I really needed the help to get me started on my decluttering mission and I’m so glad I did. I will definitely ask Pauline back in a couple of weeks/months time if I have the money. In the meantime I will try my best to donate items every time I buy something new and try to only have what I need and use. Thanks Pauline, I’m starting to love my home again x my daughter was definitely impressed and had a big smile on her face when she came home from college.”

“I enlisted Chloë’s help because I had loads of stuff that I didn’t really need but I was struggling to make the decision to get rid of anything – I always find reasons not to. I like things to be clean and organised, but my house was starting to look pretty untidy, especially my home office. Chloë was brilliant at focussing my attention on the task at hand and keeping the momentum going throughout our sessions. She helped me to objectively evaluate each item and let go of those that I just didn’t need. She also advised on storage solutions for my office and worked with me to organise the room once all the clutter was gone. I love the result. My office is now somewhere I enjoy working and I’m no longer weighed down by the mess.”

What threatened to be an ordeal turned out to be a pleasant experience and very useful in creating more storage space. Sue was very understanding and helped me make my own decisions.
