I am a professional organizer and moving specialist. We assist clients with the preparation of selling their home and assisting with their moving needs. We also conduct home staging.
I began my design career in 1980. Prior to joining the Ethan Allen team in 2005, I worked for several design companies, including furniture stores and custom window treatment businesses. I have a breadth of experience that includes designer training and management, and furniture buying and merchandising. I also hold a degree in Software Development. As a designer, I believe in listening to the individual needs of each client, this helps me create a space that is a reflection of the client’s personal taste and style. Whether I am asked to start with an empty home or blend existing furnishings with a few new ones, I can achieve a fresh look that is suited to the client.
I have a Master's Degree in Interior Design and come from a consumer economics background. I have taught Interior Design and related classes at The Ohio State University. I have been self-employed in the field for the past 17 years. I try not to have a specific look, but to meet the taste and needs of each individual client. I work in a variety of ways, depending on the scope of the job and needs of the client. I can work hourly, but generally I use either a Window Treatment, New Construction, or General Agreement Letter. I handle all aspects of design including but not limited to construction, lighting, flooring, wallcovering, and window treatments. I enjoy the simplest jobs as much as the larger scale ones, and often just handle a window treatment or two for a client.
