“We were referred to Jennifer Michael Design by our builder, knowing she came highly recommended. In the throes of construction, my husband and I could not have had more different tastes or hopes for our new home. Hands down, working with Jennifer was the one of the best decisions we ever made. She was able to listen attentively to both of us and translate the ideas into gorgeous and thoughtful designs. Her assistance with visual imagery, sourcing of options, and guidance throughout the design process was more than we could have hoped for. The result of her help is a home that we are proud to call ours. She combined the aesthetic that we were looking for with the function that a family needs for everyday life, working closely not only with us, but with our builder to insure even the smallest details were perfect. She has been and continues to be a patient and knowledgeable resource for any and all questions that come up even now as we settle into our home. “We worked with Hartley & Hill Design to completely renovate and redesign our kitchen last summer. They were fantastic and we cannot say enough about how wonderful they were. We met with them and described the concepts that we wanted (functional and classic, keeping in mind that we like to entertain, but we have small children and a busy family life). They put together the design and sat down with us to explain their ideas very thoroughly and also run through the budget. They came up with a fantastic design that we never would have thought possible, incorporating very creative ideas, while still keeping in mind our budget as well as our personal preferences. It was a very collaborative process, with us being as involved as we wanted to be, but not feeling like we had to manage a project; they expertly managed the project for us! All of the subcontractors they hired were first class. The renovation was very well organized, there was consistent open communication, any hiccups along the way (as will happen in any project this size) were managed smoothly and effectively. Needless to say, we are thrilled with the end result. We can't wait to use them again soon to redesign our dining room/living room area. We would highly recommend them!”

“Our experience with Caryn Paradis was excellent from start to finish. We had an unfinished basement that we wanted to finish and didn't know where to begin. Caryn talked with us in detail about how we wanted to use our basement and then came up with plans that included all of our needs as well as ideas that we hadn't even considered but should have. She was able to design a space that incorporated areas for everyone in our family, including our young son--even a stage that could be pulled apart for use as couches when he becomes a teenager! Because we live in separate states, Caryn was able to do much of the work remotely with minimal visits to our home to take measurements, etc. She had finish samples sent directly to us quickly and walked us through the decision making process. She designed specific requests, such as a fireplace for my husband and a guest room/office area. Caryn paid attention not only to the aesthetics of the job, but also the practicalities, such as outlet placement and HVAC. She also included amenities such as a well-placed dorm fridge which will come in handy when our son is old enough to use the space as a hang-out with friends. All in all, the job was smooth, well-designed and surprisingly painless. Caryn listened to our needs and then exceeded them. We would recommend her without reservation.”

Susan's projects ran the gamut in each dwelling and her professionalism and unique talent for detail was exceptional on every level. “I was very pleased with the services provided by Judy Cook Interiors, LLC during the decoration of my home. These services included the painting of the entire interior of my four bedroom home, selection of furniture for my living room, kitchen and dining room and selection of drapes for both my living room and dining room as well as other window dressings. Ms. Cook actively solicited my input on all aspects of the project and was very attentive to my preferences while providing her valuable, professional input. Her knowledge of local painters, general handymen and upholstery shops was invaluable. Prior to this project, I had never used the services of an interior decorator. “I highly recommend Julians Interiors for ANY design/decoration project. You will never be disappointed and I guarantee you will be thrilled with the results. The entire Julians team is professional, highly knowledgable and very creative. They have always met my deadlines and budgets and work well with all subcontractors. In fact I would say you should hire Julians before you are ready to decorate. On multiple projects of mine, Julians has worked with the main contractor/architect to make changes to plans and projects that made significant improvements to the overall design and function of the spaces. On one specific project in a guest house, I wanted to move a wall to make the room bigger. I was told that that wall couldn't be moved by the contractor. I brought in Julians to work with the contractor and Julie herself was able to explain to the contractor how to move the wall and solve the design problems this would create. The end result looked amazing. Julie is able to work with the most ornery contractor to make changes that improve the design and convince him that he made a good decision! She is magic! The money you spend hiring the professionals at Julians is worth every cent. There is so much creative energy that is spent on every design that you will be amazed how much attention you get. Julians is now decorating my third home. I would never use any other designer. My homes are completely different: New England center-hall colonial, 250 year-old farmhouse with separate buildings and a beach house on the water. The designs are completely different and all amazing. Projects Julians has done for me range from simple kitchen, bathroom and room updates, to complete kitchen rip out and redesign and gutting a 200 year-old cottage and rebuilding/redesigning it with only the original beams and fireplace standing. My only advice is TRUST Julie's design decisions. You will not be disappointed. If she says it will good great and is the right thing to do, it will look AMAZING and you will LOVE it.”
