“My husband is very handy so we knew he could do the work. Problem was we didn’t have a design plan. I decided to call a professional. From the initial phone call, I felt I could work with Becky. She asked lots of pertinent questions, and I scheduled a home consultation. The project was a living room in a 30 year old house which hadn’t been redecorated in 20 years. We have views of a lake, so a nautical theme seemed natural. After much discussion, Becky suggested a “nautical shabby chic decor” complete with chandelier and seashells. She mentioned several architectural changes, such as taking down a 3/4 high wall near the stairs and installing a horizontal window over the fireplace. Just these 2 ideas added much-needed light into the room. We added white faux beams to the ceiling, a warm ash hardwood floor, and gorgeous grey walls (not a color I would have considered until I saw her picture board). What I especially liked was that she also helped me choose some wonderful, inexpensive accent pieces - a 4 foot sailboat on a shelf over our piano, cut glass lamps to enhance the chandelier, and a beautiful golden rug. These were found in consignment stores! We found Becky easy to talk to and she had out-of-the-box ideas! She listened to what we told her. She is an excellent communicator, and doesn’t try to talk you into something you are not comfortable with. Becky was reliable and when she says she will call you, she does. We would definitely recommend her to anyone who is thinking about a design plan. The outcome is a stunning room that we will be able to enjoy for years to come!”

I am tall and her attention to detail made it possible for me to be comfortable in my space. For example, she made sure the counters in our master bath were the correct height, so I did not have to bend down while using the sink and that the jets that came out of the shower hit my back correctly. She is more than able to manage unexpected outcomes. When our rain shower unit was not available as the bath store promised, Kacey went above and beyond to find the specific unit I desired. “Cin is an extraordinary thinker, planner, and visionary. She quickly absorbed our goals and aesthetic and worked closely with us to create a modern home that we love. Early on, she provided 3D renderings of our space - complete with furniture - that made it easy to visualize the entire home before the construction day 1. She did the layout modifications from the big picture down to the small details. She has a sufficient understanding of engineering/architecture/trades such that we did not need an architect - we sent her drawings to a draftsperson who made the architectural plans for submission to engineering and the city permitting. Her plans passed permitting on the first try and our contractor had no complaints about her choices. Cin helped us prioritize project elements when construction bids came in. She advised on electrical & plumbing fixture selection, color schemes, furniture, and so many details. And she did the entire project remotely - without ever seeing our house in person. We are absolutely delighted with the home and Cin's work. She thought of everything. Our construction process went smoothly because we were able to make decisions quickly with her guidance. She is gentle and not pushy of her views, but we quickly learned that we were always happiest with the outcome when we went with her ideas. We will use her again.”
