Kia Designs was recommended by a friend who used their services a few years back. Kia and her team first did an initial consultation on a project that didn't go through. We were first-time buyers with little experience and hence a bit anxious about the buying process topped up by a renovation project. It was their advice and honesty on that failed project that made us come back to them when we finally found our "home sweet home". From the beginning to the end of the project, the team held our hand until that magic moment you set your foot back home. Obviously, we find our house post-KD intervention stunning. But it was really the support and the advice throughout the process (we had some hiccups along the way) that made a difference. We never felt pushed to take one decision or to buy the most expensive item. Understanding what people want when we didn't necessarily have a clear vision of what we wanted is a talent. A lot of times, the first items proposed were the ones we chose and any case alternatives were suggested. I can't imagine having done this without them. I first worked with Kia many years ago when she was just setting up her interior design business. I was thrilled with the results so, when I moved house earlier this year, there was no question about who I would turn to for help. The brief was challenging as I wanted to retain a substantial number of pieces from my former home, working them into a more modern scheme in a new build property. The new house also had some tricky narrow spaces, an awkward nook that needed a fresh eye to make it an interesting feature and a serious lack of storage and display space. Kia and her team did a fantastic job and I’m delighted with the end result. As well as a fabulous and fun design, the entire process worked smoothly from end to end with excellent communication and prompt resolution of the inevitable hiccups along the way. The whole process was stress free from design, through procurement, build and installation. It speaks volumes that I ended up with virtually no snagging list at the end of the project. I can’t recommend Kia and her team enough. I’m only sad that I may not get the opportunity to work with them again for some time.

Kia and her team went above and beyond to create the most beautiful holiday home for us. Their attention to detail was exceptional which ensured our home was kitted out and ready to go for our first guests. The whole team made the process easy and enjoyable from start to finish. Kia and her team oversaw the renovation project of our house. We selected Kia Designs based on their design portfolio as well their readiness to take on the challenging timeline. Thanks to Kia we had a team on site a day after exchange in December 2020. We all worked tirelessly to complete this ambitious project in a record 4 months despite supply and labour issues as a result of Brexit and the peak of covid lock downs etc. Kia, Josie, Roxy and Charlie were our main contacts and communication was through the very useful Basecamp project planning app and regular google meet calls. It was quite astonishing to see the volume of decisions and details in these projects. Although we didn’t make any structural changes we did replace a number of bathrooms, laid new floors, installed a new kitchen and repurposed some rooms. Kia Designs took care of all the technical spec for the builder, ordered supplies and proposed designs. On many occasions we went with their first proposal, others we asked for alternatives and others we debated forever. We never felt pressured to take the easy route. Kia’s scope was to propose designs, layouts, furnishings and fittings. They proposed and supplied: wood floors, tiles, bathroom fittings, accessories, sofas, beds, rugs, wallpaper, handles, light fittings, art, curtains, gym equipment to name but a few. All purchases were automated through a purchase approval system and reconciled at the end of the project. Site visits were made difficult due to covid but I managed to attend regularly which in the case of project of our size (4000+ sqft) was critical. We are delighted with the outcome of the works and are very grateful to Kia Designs and our builder for their efforts and hard work.

Kia, Josie and team were a pleasure to work with throughout the project. The planning phase was finalised just as COVID lockdowns started and waited for a year until starting construction. The process was managed really well from start to finish, despite the difficult working environment and supply chain issues. The design process is interactive and the team consistently looks to come up with solutions to any issues. The use of a design app and transparent billing system ensures the process is smooth and clear. We’re very pleased with the final outcome and the work undertaken throughout.

We consider ourselves fortunate to have Kia worked on our apartment. But a bit unfortunate that the project was in the middle of Brexit & COVID-19. Thanks to Kia & her team for getting around those problems & gave us the best services ever conceivable right from the design on the drawing board to the finished state. They ever helped us out in matters not within the contract scope. We are so happy with our well-furbished home. We were daunted by the prospect of ripping out our old flooring for wood floors and dealing with baseboards and painting etc. What we hoped for was a project manager who would manage the process for us. What we got was all that PLUS thoughtful solutions, and beautiful design full of little surprises and reflections of our personality throughout our flat. The project was managed using an online tool - which made it easy to stay on top of where we were. The on-site contractor team was also phenomenal. Our favourite touches include: 1)the 'stormy' wall and the built in units in our bedroom - inspired by a cool japanese concept, the golden wood grain is gorgeous 2)the vintage map tile in our bathroom of our exact neighbourhood and location and a poster art frame which hides a cabinet behind it 3)The gorgeous jungle wallpaper in our living room which represents my Malaysian heritage and abiding love for the colour green (which Kia and her team unearthed during their getting to know us process). 4)The barn door on vintage rollers (which also solved a space & visibility flaw the original flat design) 5)creating seamless storage in our hallway (it looks like a wall - but is actually a door with tons of storage behind) We would definitely recommend Kia designs!

Kia Designs made a us a beautiful playroom. I was really impressed with how they thought about the space and managed to incorporate a bike turbo area for me.

In early 2018, we hired Kia Designs to advise on our renovation project. Kia Designs worked with us through the long process where we first considered a basement dig, but then settled on a renovation to help us make better use of existing space. The refurbishment was completed in the summer of 2019. We had never worked with a designer before but felt that given this was a home we wanted to live in for the longer-term it was worth investing in design expertise – to get space saving ideas, to ensure the project was delivered to budget, and also because we did not have the time to design and manage the refurbishment phase ourselves. We interviewed several designers and from the beginning were impressed with how Kia listened to us and took our views on board. All through the almost two years of working with them (from the initial design phase, to refurbishment and handover) the design team have always been available, given us sensible and thoughtful advice, and (most importantly) been flexible with all the changes made. Kia Designs brought great ideas and knowledge of high-quality suppliers that we would not have considered had we done the design ourselves. The refurbishment was completed to a high standard as Josie (a member of the design team) had excellent attention to detail, ensuring that every element of the final design was delivered on by the contractor. It was also completed to budget. As a result, we have a beautiful house now that reflects the way we live, the things we enjoy doing but also has the scope to grow with us as our kids get older or our interests change. The final house makes better use of space and is both functional and elegant. Finally, Kia and team were a pleasure to spend time with – they were engaging, considerate and committed – which made the whole process of working with them enjoyable. We would highly recommend Kia Designs.

Kia and her team really took time to understand what we wanted to achieve with our new flat as we downsized from a family home. Their ideas for how to utilise the space, and the colour schemes they suggested, were perfect and we would never have come up with them on our own. We have felt 'at home' in our new space since Day 1. Kia and her team took the stress out of what could have been a difficult move, and I find it hard to express the joy on arriving at the flat on completion to find all the boxes unpacked and everything put away. Obviously there were snagging issues but we were extremely impressed with how Kia and her team dealt with them. Nothing was made out to be a problem and everything that needed to be done was rectified without fuss.

We collaborated with Kia Design on a beautiful Penthouse they designed for their Client. We were appointed by Kia Design as the Main Contractor and worked with them to achieve the results their Client desired. Kia and her team are fantastic designers and carry extensive knowledge of design, cost, construction and project management. It was a pleasure working with them and we hope to have the opportunity to cooperate again soon.

As a first time buyer, I was apprehensive at when I hired Kia Design for I.D. of my new home. It turned out to be the best decision I made. We hired Kia and her team to renovate our newly purchased house in Hampstead. Right from the initial consultation through to the final stages of the project Kia and her team were on hand to answer our questions, take on-board our requests and always kept us updated throughout the process. The service level is exceptional. As for the design and project, we couldn't have asked for a better result. The rooms are perfectly designed to take advantage of the space and are full of interesting features. Kia clearly has a great array of industry contacts she has built relationships with, which meant she sourced and managed a brilliant building company and was able to procure some really unique furniture for us too. The house feels very high-end but still functional and modern. Kia is an very impressive entrepreneur and the product and service exceeded our expectations at every turn, whilst still representing excellent value for money. We would not hesitate to use Kia for any future projects and would very highly recommend her.

Last year Kia designed our newly purchased flat on which she has done an impeccable job and this year she was hired to renovate our much beloved family holiday home of 23 years. I grew up in this home with wonderful memories and was very nervous about its refurbishment. I had seen her work up close in the past but this was my first time working with her personally. The bar was set pretty high the last time and she had high expectations to live up which she surpassed by a mile. Working with Kia was an absolute pleasure. From the initial design stage to the actual refurbishment and handover, the entire process was a breeze. She converted our 2 bed, 2 bath to a 3 bed and 2.5 bath without compromising on any space. She got rid of dead useless spaces making very corner of the house practical and extremely pleasing to the eyes. She stuck with the style that I liked and stayed well clear of what I didn't. Kia and her team are absolutely fantastic; there isn’t anything that they cannot get done. They go all out to ensure that everything is beyond perfect. With regards to their quality of work, it was so impeccable that we actually had a difficult time when it came round to looking for snags. With Kia, it’s the little things that matter most. Her attention to detail is impeccable. You are already expecting everything to look immaculate as a whole, but the real pleasure is when you are actually living in the house and you notice the minute miniscule details that have been put in both in terms of design and function. The beauty of her work is truly in her little touches which brings everything together. She created a beautiful home for my family and I cannot recommend her services enough.

Kia and her team did a fantastic job working on my property. After buying my flat, which was my first owned property, I was keen to renovate it as it could have done with some work. However, I was a bit lost for ideas and how to go about it. Furthermore, with a busy work schedule, I was concerned with logistics. However, Kia and her team's fantastic work were able to allay all of these concerns. Firstly, after getting a brief idea for what I was looking for and what my tastes were, they were able to put together a design that was absolutely perfect for me. The execution of the project was also immaculate, with deadlines stuck to, and the end result was spectacular. Kia Designs have put together the dream home for me as they have done it in an extremely efficient fashion. I would strongly recommend their services.

We worked withKia and Katie on the meditation mattress for their latest client in North London. It was a tricky job which I think tested both Kia designs and us here at Material concepts. The Kia Designs team have created a wonderful kitchen and living space for our young family. The completed works are beyond our expectations. It has completely transformed the house and the way in which we live. Nothing has been too much for them, they have always been available, are full of ideas and execute upon them. Seem to enjoy solving issues, listen and understand requests/choices and are ever patient. Everything we have discussed is recorded and open to those involved in the project, allowing nothing to be missed. From concept to finish, Kia has such a great professional approach and understanding of craftsmanship, which is needed for the perfect installation of mosaic.

Kia helped with the complete renovation of a 2-bedroom ground floor flat in Highbury, North London. She was responsible for the electrical and lighting plans, wall finishes, designing a bespoke wardrobe and sourcing the fabric and furniture. Kia has an excellent eye and was able to develop schemes which suited my tastes and I would have been unable to conceive myself. For some pieces, I had a very particular idea of what I wanted and Kia was able to source these through her extensive network of suppliers. Kia was also able to incorporate existing pieces successfully. She also gave advice on items I did not source through her - e.g. frames for pictures I already owned.The products she sourced were always of very high quality - although Kia was sensitive to budgetary constraints.For the bespoke items, such as the wardrobes, Kia has contacts with trusted tradesmen who deliver high-quality work. She would obtain multiple quotes from these tradespeople to ensure I got the best price. If there were any issues - e.g. when some veneer separated on a shelf - she was responsible for quality control and ensured that the problems were fixed.I would highly recommend Kia for any interior design job. This project would have been far more stressful without her and the finished product wouldn't have been nearly as impressive.

Kia was brought in to redesign our bedroom and living room in our Grade II listed Baker Street flat. She completely transformed the space into a clean and contemporary home. The works all went smoothly and we got the warm and inviting home we wanted. She included an informal dining area in the living room, which has proved invaluable. We hired Kia Designs to rearrange and redecorate our house in Wimbledon, she had previously worked with friends of ours and we knew she would produce a home that was uniquely ours. She was able to best understand and utilised the available space, moving the kitchen from one end of the house to the other and introducing a downstairs toilet. We hired Kia and her team to help us furnish our new London apartment. They were amazing accommodating our requests and reading into what we wanted for the space. We were very worried with the size of the living room and wanted to make it feel as spacious as we could. They have chosen the adequate furniture and colours in order to give the illusion of having more space. Because it was a new build we did not need to have any building works done. However, we had wallpaper put in and a few things hanged on the walls. Kia hired Eimon who was super professional and efficient. The most positive thing about the interaction with Kia and her team is how honest and direct they were which is really good to keep everyone's expectations on the end result (and timings). Still, they did their best to go beyond their initial estimates of delivery times! All in all, the whole experience was very positive.

To completely redesign and refurbish our new central London apartment, Kia Design was chosen from a list of 7 award-winning interior designers. And what an incredible decision it turned out to be! As this was my first experience working with an interior designer, I was completely overwhelmed with the task at hand. Kia, with her calm and affable nature, patiently listened to and took into account everything I had envisioned and came up with a design that was not only aesthetically pleasing but practical, comfortable, affordable, and livable. From the very first meeting until the day the keys of the completed project were handed over, and honestly even beyond that date, Kia has gone above and beyond her obligations and immediately attended to every single aspect that was required. When my husband and I decided to start house shopping in London, we had a lot of questions. Both of us are from North America and so things like planning permission, party wall consent, and UK home construction were all new to us. We had a few houses in mind that we would consider reonvating, but didn't know how the process worked in the UK. I had seen Kia's portfolio online and thought it was absolutely lovely, and so emailed and asked Kia if she wouldn't mind answering some questions for us. She agreed to meet us late on a weeknight and spent a good hour answering all of our questions. She walked us through floorplans of houses we were considering and told us what was possible and what wasn't, how long it would take to do the work, and about how much we could expect it to cost. Over the next few weeks I emailed her floorplans as we saw new properties, and she gave me her thoughts on them. Ultimately the house we selected was right at the edge of our budget, and so we are not able to hire Kia at this time, but I hope I get a chance to in the future. She is extremely knowledgeable and gracious, and did a great job of educating us on what to expect. I highly encourage anyone considering redesigning their home to meet with her.

Kia provided an absolutely fantastic and personal service, and really listened to what we wanted for our apartment remodel. She provided us with regular updates on each step of the process and we always felt that she keep us well-informed and clearly explained all the steps involved. I would have no hesitation at all in using her company again for all future projects and feel that she offers a very professional, but also bespoke, service. Kia redesigned our apartment in 2011 (1600 sq feet, 3 bed, London) and was fabulous in taking our vague ramblings and making sense of them. The end result was beautiful and we were so pleased to have a place to call our peaceful home in the midst of chaotic London. She managed to incorporate design elements we felt we couldn't live without, pushed our boundaries in presenting options we wouldn't have usually considered and managed to weave together traditional and modern vibes with aplomb. I would highly recommend!

Kia is a extremely talented designer, she constantly brings new ideas into the showrooms which are both fresh and vibrant. She is one of our favourite's to work with - always friendly and smiley. No matter what the project brief might entail, be it contemporary or classic, Kia is very thorough with her work and always brings an exciting mood board in to challenge us! Highly recommended.

Kia was instrumental in helping us create a home that we love. She had some terrific ideas but was always taking on board our suggestions. She was also immensely patient. There were so many decisions to make and I wouldn't have been able to make them without her input. She also has great contacts and was frequently able to sort things out for us at very short notice. I love what she did in our home and would definitely recommend her to anyone else.
