Just wanted to thank Cathy and her team for the design work they completed for our home in Wooler. With it being a commercial building previously it had a lot of large open spaces and small storage areas which required a professional approach to spatial planning and design. We tried ourselves but just couldn't make it work. Enter Studio Dean! From the initial phone call they were sympathetic to our predicament and after an initial visit their team provided a perfect spatial plan, look book, full design, lighting design, shopping lists along with costings for each room; this service took such a weight off our minds and left us to concentrate on the dirty work, which even this was often guided by their expertise. They designed a quirky building in to a beautiful home (or it will be when its finished) and even accommodated a quirky customer too, thank you once again ladies you should be wearing capes ! x

I’m so excited to have found Cathy and the team at Studio Dean to help me with our master suite refurb. I was blown away at how she managed to totally turn our current layout on its head and came up with a beautiful design which also utilizes all of the space. Having slanted ceilings and walls was quite challenging but it looks amazing…. Totally awesome to be working with this team….

I’ve used Cathy Dean Interior Design now for 3 rooms in my house which needed fully redecorated and restructured when we moved in, and it has been the best money I’ve spent. Layout, best use of space and the ‘flow’ of the rooms was my biggest challenge and now we have such a liveable downstairs that works perfectly for us as a family. Not to mention all of the decor, furniture & accessories are absolutely beautiful. I’m so happy with the results & I would definitely recommend!

I've worked with Cathy and her team on a couple of projects now and couldn't recommend her enough (I've told all my friends and family!). CDID have helped us on both a new build scheme and a Grade II listed restoration and not only are the designs beautiful and in line with our brief, they ensure projects fall in budget whilst finding alternative solutions to problems.

I’ve work alongside a few Interior designers over the past 10 years, but I’ve never had the pleasure of installing and finishing designs quite like what Cathy and her team produce! Each job is unique and planned with pain staking detail. Each member of her team are a dream to work alongside and are helpful to the point they’re almost picking up tools themselves!

Moving into a 5 bedroom Victorian shell where every room was painted magnolia, we renovated 4 marble fireplaces then came to an abrupt standstill; overwhelmed by the number of rooms to decorate and a realisation that none of our tired old furniture really suited the house. Luckily Cathy and her team came to the rescue. They guided us through the design process, as we began with the lounge, hallway and main bedroom in phase 1, followed by the snug and 2 teenage boy's rooms in phase 2. Their ideas push you out of your comfort zone and at times you have to go with it and trust their experience; who would ever paint their woodwork any other colour than white? But the end result is outstanding. Their attention to detail includes aesthetics such as flooring, wall colours, layering of textures and accessories but also and as importantly they carefully consider how you utilise and move through each space. All this is backed up by their excellent trades people.

We have nothing but praise for Cathy and her team. They did an absolutely amazing job for us, in time and on budget. We are very busy people and other than an initial chat around ideas and what we liked and didn't like took a massive leap of faith and just left them to it - they did a very detailed design which we approved and them project managed the whole thing - all we had to do was walk in when it was all done and gasp at what a beautiful home they had created for us. Cathy and colleagues design style is amazing - there are many very unusual and quirky features and its very stylish but at the same time its extremely homely and functional. We could not be happier with how it turned out . They totally "got us" whilst also encouraging us to be a bit adventurous and go with things we were not sure of. The end result is absolutely stunning and we love it so much. Cathy is now moving on to other other house!

From my first meeting with Cathy I knew she was the interior designer who could make my new home exactly what I wanted which was to be beautiful but functional to our busy family. From the first design plans to the finished result she literally took me by the hand and guided me through the whole process seamlessly. I was definitely out of my comfort zone as home interior is not my thing....but I trusted Cathy’s knowledge and expertise to reach what worked for us as a family. The most important thing for me was how she listened to how our family functioned in our home so making the best use of the space and creating a fabulous home for us to enjoy. Herself and Jen worked so hard on the master bedroom making it a calm and serene space in our busy lives. I loved the headboard design on paper but was scared it would not work for us. Guided by Cathy she explained in detail how it would all come together in the end ...and I am so glad I trusted her judgement as I absolutely love my bedroom. From the stunning lightening to the plug sockets absolutely every detail was thought about and worked into our budget. We still love walking into our stunning home after being at work all day and do not think we will ever tire of it.

Absolutely love the work to the house as well as the finish of the work. Cathy chose colours which i would have been too afraid of using if i was to do it myself and had ideas i wouldn't have thought about! But im so pleased she did as i am in love with my new house. It works so well for us now as a family

Working with Cathy has been amazing. We are completely normal people (teacher and engineer) and if you'd asked me a year ago if we'd have worked with an interior designer I would have thought you were mad. But after taking on a fixer-upper and getting myself in a complete pickle ahead of the build I contacted Cathy. I initially just wanted her to tell me where to put my kitchen but soon realised her expertise and skill were exactly what I needed to achieve the house of my dreams. Cathy has worked tirelessly to help us achieve that dream, from mind-blowing mood-boards and initial style meetings to liaising with builders, plumbers and electricians. She has saved us money and where the builder was willing to just 'get it done' she has stepped in and offered better solutions. She has taken all the stress out of decision making and we have ended up with a house that is beyond our wildest dreams. There is no way we could have achieved what we have without her. I can't believe I am the owner of a house that makes people go 'wow' when they walk in.

I have known and worked with cathy over the past 2 years on various projects supplying a team of tradesmen to construct her design work. I have to say that she is always a pleasure to work along side and certainly knows the ins and outs of interior design. Her ideas and creative ability to transform any giving space into a homely and functional surrounding is truly unique and inspirational. I am yet to see a client who would disagree. Cathy has great management skills, she is focused and dedicated to each individual project to ensure the client's brief and wishes are fulfilled. Cathy deserves this rating as she is a top designer in her field.

Working with Cathy was inspiring and fun. We needed ideas on how to make our room spaces work better. Cathy worked through our many needs and presented options for how we achieve our goals. Her presentation was comprehensive and very professional. Cathy has proved that working with an interior designer really can deliver the house of your dreams.
