She made suggestions as to what type of furniture to buy, designed a layout, and helped me choose beautiful plant containers. “I had an excellent experience with Outdoor Design! Chris and his team are very dedicated, hard-working, and full of ideas on how to make the most of your backyard. I had gotten a free estimate from Chris when my irrigation company recommended him. I called him to talk about grading my yard before sprinklers were installed, but somehow, 2 months later, we had our backyard oasis completely finished, and had gained an outdoor living room, dining room and kitchen for a fraction of what an actual building addition would have been. Plus, mature trees for added privacy and landscaping Martha Stewart would be envious of! Chris and Dave took my ideas and budget and made what I had envisioned happen. Chris prices out the estimate a la carte; which means that you don't have to do everything right then; I could start the project and add the fireplace later, or the stonewall seating next year... I was able to shave some of the cost by reusing my hydrangeas and buying some of my own shrubs. Mario and the masonry team are some of the hardest working men I've ever met. They would set up tents in the rain just to keep working! The end result is stunning; Two friends have already hired Chris in the last 6 months to build their own dream backyards. “I would highly recommend Outdoor Living of NJ for anyone considering investing in a high-end, outdoor kitchen. They were recommended by a neighbor. They were not pushy. They excelled on multiple levels, including design, construction management, and follow-through after completion. My wife and I live in a Hoboken condo with lots of rules and restrictions regarding our roof-top terrace. Outdoor Living of NJ coordinated all required permits and inspections with the town and building management. This project required plumbing (gas for grill and water for ice maker) and electrical (for lights and appliances. They offer various brands of grills and appliances and let us know how they compare, without pushing. We visited a granite yard with Outdoor Living to view stone and granite and it was a pleasant experience. The granite installers did such an awesome job (we have had granite installed before) that we hired them to do work inside our condo after this project. The cost was more reasonable than I initially expected, so we upgraded the ice maker, granite and added some cool, LED dimmable lights, which really makes a difference after the sun goes down. It has been 11 months since our installation and we could not be happier.”
