“Between 2012 and 2013 we built a house with a tight landscaping budget. Rachel was involved from the beginning and came up with beautiful, detailed, deer-proof plans for our 3.15 acres, focusing on native plants that don't require watering (once they're established) and coordinating with our builders. She purchased and planted most of the plants (we purchased and planted whatever worked for us, and she made up the difference) and helped coordinate other services for the hardscaping (concrete curbs around two self-contained areas), bark dusting and shrubbery-clearing. She even wrote detailed instructions for the subsequent steps and maintaining the landscaping. She remains interested and helpful and is very responsive to our questions. We consider ourselves very lucky to have her help!”

Lynn is extremely professional in her approach and careful to listen to the customers needs/wants. We work with several designers for our projects, but Lynn is always top of the list when she can work us into the schedule. “Donna provided us a complete redesign of our property (hardscape and landscape), helped us find a landscape contractor, and assured proper installation - front and back yards. We live in a 110-year-old house in the inner city of Portland. Donna's design struck the right balance between a clean, modern look that still complements the historic architecture of our home and neighborhood. Outstanding professional. Donna has excellent communication skills, was attentive to our aesthetic, and able to incorporate odd little suggestions we had - everything from including specific plants to designing a dog-friendly garden without a lawn. Our project included a significant amount of site work, installation of a new paver driveway, stormwater / rain garden, retaining walls, terracing, gas fire pit, deck, fencing, patio, and low-maintenance plantings. Donna has excellent rapport with contractors and continues to help us improve the design as plantings fill in. I've recommended Donna to admiring neighbors and friends and will continue to do so.”

“We worked with Landscape East and West on a complete backyard remodel this past year. Our designer was Christin and we are very pleased with the final result. Christin did a great job finding out what our goals for our landscape were and collaboratively designing a covered and open patio area as well as green space. We have yet to see the full effect of the new plantings, but love the plants with winter interest that were suggested. We have also greatly appreciated Christin's responsiveness to questions and finalizing the project and the hard work of the team that did the implementation, who worked late several times to ensure that the project moved along. “Catherine is responsible for the car-stopping landscape at our home! She did an incredible job of recommending a beautiful plant design, purchasing the plants and materials and overseeing the installation as well as the soil preparation. She chose unique plants that thrive in the environments in which they are planted. Our yard is striking, functional and thriving.
