Having Lloyds implement the build of a design we brought to them was the worst ‘home-improvement’ experience of our lives and a thoroughly horrible ordeal. If considering Lloyds for your landscaping needs, agree exactly what margin they are applying to all materials, make clear you will need sight of all invoices and challenge thoroughly their design choices. Proceed with caution.

Such a bad experience, and it keeps getting worse. I echo the unreliability mentioned in another review. At first, Jonathan seemed professional and reviews were great, so we paid a deposit in September with a promise that our build would begin early November (design work would happen in between). We have been chasing and strung along for months, with deadline missed after deadline missed for design and build. Almost 3 months after paying, they send the “design” in the photo (for which they charged £900) with the update they might start in April (5 months later than promised without even so much as a courtesy call!) When we asked for a refund because of their misleading dates and unacceptable design work for the fee, they decided to ignore us. Not sure where to go from here if they don’t take our calls or answer multiple emails / WhatsApp’s…

Jonathan and team did a great job removing and reusing the planter boxes from our garden. The team are incredibly professional and explained everything along the way. I would not hesitate to use them again in the future. Thank you!

Lloyds have done an excellent job transforming our garden. They made sure we maximised the space whilst still making it child friendly. We are thrilled with the results and it’s has transformed the way we used our garden this summer. They were a delight to have on site and left the site clean and tidy.

Jonathan and the team at Lloyd’s Gardens of London achieved the impossible for me. They gave me the garden that I didn’t even know I wanted! I have very little knowledge or (if I’m honest) interest in gardening but having decided to completely rip my very old garden out and have it totally re-done, I spent time explaining to Jonathan what I liked, didn’t like, how and when I wanted to enjoy the garden and how much time I was happy to spend maintaining it - which is as little as possible tbh. After an initial design following by several tweaks, the team moved in and got to work and I was very happy to leave them to it although I was consulted on a regular basis with progress reports and any hitches. The team’s professionalism was of the highest calibre; they arrived on time every single day, worked solidly stopping only for lunch and cleaned up after themselves before they left for the day. The only delays to the job were because of inclement weather. The result was absolutely brilliant and has completely transformed the use of our home. We have gained another room “in the house” and although this summer was a bit of washout we have already used the garden more in the last few months than in the last few years. We thoroughly enjoy spending time in our new space and our only regret is not doing it years ago.

We used Lloyd’s gardens to restructure our garden after a building extension. We were delighted with Jonathan, Gary and the team. The garden team who did the work were lovely, kind, polite and very good workers. Gary’s wall building skills are amazing and our curved soil retaining wall is brilliant. We also have a wonderful garden railway, possibly a first for Mill Hill, but certainly first for Lloyd’s! This was designed by my husband but skilfully and artistically interpreted by Gary. We are absolutely thrilled with the finished result, from our raised vegetable patch to the railway. Well done team Lloyd!!

I cant recommend this company enough. Very hands on with great workman. The level of finish is outstanding. Have just finished our drive and on the back of that will now be remodelling our back garden. Thank you Jonathan and the team.

This is the second time we’ve used Jonathan and his team at Lloyd’s and I can’t recommend them highly enough. Jonathan is a great and approachable guy who listens and advises, and has a great creative eye to add the finishing touches to the job. He managed all of our expectations and communications excellently throughout. Then the on-site team worked politely, cleanly and diligently to complete the work. They were a pleasure to have around and you don’t always think that about contractors! The end results were great and we are really happy with our re-fence and landscaping of the end of our garden. I can't rate these guys highly enough, they did and fantastic job turning our broken old decking into a great cottage patio, complete with flower bed and electrics. They were very professional, but what I appreciated the most were the insights and advise they would give about what might work best for us and our space. We now have a lovely family space that's both peaceful and great for entertaining.

We heard about Lloyd’s through a recommendation and were not disappointed. The high standard project was completed on time and the gardeners were helpful and extremely competent. We would certainly use this very professional company again.

Gary and Jonathan designed and built our new family garden space last year and we have been enjoying it ever since. They erected new fencing, moved and remodelled the large shed and opened up a once dark and uninspiring garden. My children now love to use it and we can’t wait for summer to come back around to get out there again and enjoy the BBQ! The team were very professional, communication was excellent throughout and the quality of the build was truly first class. We have no hesitation in recommending Lloyd’s Gardens of London to anyone wanting a new space.

I've worked with Jonathan and Gary on a garden project I designed in East Finchley. Lloyd's Gardens of London did all the hard landscape and installed a new fence, paving and steps in the garden and did so with professionalism, knowledge and integrity. I hope to work with them again in the future.
