Primiano Architecture
Architects in Lawrenceville, NJ
Average rating: 5 out of 5 stars29 April 2020
“We hired Primiano Architecture to design an addition for our house. We had no experience dealing with an architect or doing a home improvement project of this magnitude. Primiano Architecture was recommended to us by an acquaintance. From our first meeting with Joe we knew he was the right person. He was honest, intelligent and most importantly he listened and made suggestions. It was a true partnership. Joe worked closely with us throughout design, township approval, choosing a contractor and final approval. We could not be any happier with how the project turned out. I would give Primiano Architecture 4 out 4 stars and would recommend him highly to anyone looking for an architect.”

“My husband and I first hired Unger and Mahns in 2000 to build our 5500 Sq. ft. house in Rumson,NJ.The design was classic, sophisticated, tasteful and timeless."Michael and Michael" guided us through the design and construction and were available on site whenever the builder needed them. When we sold the house in 2008,the structural engineer that the buyers hired to inspect the house said it was one of the best built homes he had ever inspected. In 2006,we hired them again to do the plans for our summer home in Cape May, N.J. They designed our fabulous dutch colonial that looks like it is 100 years old.We are consistently told that is it one of the prettiest homes in town and not a day goes by where someone doesn't stop and comment on it.Our builder in CM said that the plans he received from U and M were the most detailed and complete set of plans he had ever worked with. They designed the new Rumson Country Club Pool House. It is a masterpiece! I am a real estate agent and my husband is as type "A" as they come.We are tough customers and pretty demanding. We recommend U and M 100% and feel they are worth their weight in gold. They are not the least expensive in the area but you get what you pay for. They are thorough, knowledgeable and very experienced.”

“I hired Naama Faucett to design a mid-scale 3-story office building. Naama quickly understood the program and its complexity. Working within tight site and demanding schedule, Naama developed a building layout that emphasizes the fluidity from one space to another, enhancing the required interaction between the various departments while marinating a coherent design scheme . Her aesthetics solutions and perspective in bringing light throughout the building and providing indoor-outdoor common spaces were innovative. I mostly enjoyed her attention to details and her capability to visualize the space. The end result is remarkable!”

Princeton Design Collaborative
Architects in Lawrenceville, NJ
Average rating: 4 out of 5 stars2 October 2013
“We engaged Princeton Design Collaborative to provide design concepts for a small master bathroom addition. The current bathroom configuration was virtually unusable. The two concepts provided were cost effective for the client, and provided an aesthetically appealing design to the front of the home that matched the existing facade. The drawings were extremely complete and detailed as to make the permitting process with the township go smoothly. We look forward to working with John Conroy on future projects, and would highly recommend this company to anyone interested in architectural design concepts and drawings.”

“I have had a very pleasant and yet enriching experience with Liesl in renovating an older pre-war apt. She is a very talented and artistic person and when you hear her creative ideas as you get to know her, you can understand how she has won awards. In addition to this, she is very easy to talk to and does not push herself on you in any way. Her varied and in depth experience and education affords her an ability to take on projects at any level and most styles with great success. She presents alternatives to you and lets you lead if you choose to but will take charge if so desired. This is an unusual ability in a well trained architect and it makes her a special find. Liesl took out an entire wall and opened the space in amazing ways in my apartment . She is very tasteful and yet is quite creative and can do unusual things in the use of space. Her taste is elegant and refined with a touch of lyricism. My experience was pleasant and fun and yet exciting with new ideas. I love what she has done with my apartment. It is a total metamorphosis from a stodgy older apt in good taste to a new open, light, and breathtakingly beautiful space . It is basically a modern space but we have included antiques and she can do the combining of modern with older periods which is very difficult to do well and smoothly. Liesl has expertise in the use of light and glass. She is great with color. She is modest and a gem to work with. I recommend her highly.”
Balestri Architects
Architects in Lawrenceville, NJ
Average rating: 5 out of 5 stars28 April 2014
“My husband and I were lucky to find Balestri Architects during our search for an architect to fully renovate our run down loft in Tribeca, NYC, a number of years ago. Carlo supported our project, not only through ideation and design, but through the bidding process, helping select a contractor, working closely with the chosen contractor during construction and being very present on the site until every last detail on the punch list was fixed, perfect and permits closed/received. We feel like we received the services expected from a large firm but with the intimacy and knowledge of everyone on our project that one gets from a small, young and agile firm. From beginning to end Carlo was professional, hard working, and impressively detail oriented. He was our advocate; he honored our budget limits and pushed us when needed. We were continually impressed with his knowledge of the sometimes frustrating and long process needed to be followed in NYC; permits, codes, DOB processes, and even helping with the internal approvals required within our small but challenging coop board (which was our entire building as there were only 4 owners). We were even more impressed and excited by the creativity of the design. Carlo managed to meet all of our needs as well as desires while maintaining equal focus and energy on the less glamorous but equally important details like lighting, electrical work, etc. What we hadn’t anticipated was his invaluable input on the interior design elements, and the impressive amount of time he spent with us looking at tiles, stone, fixtures and so much more. We have since moved to a very old home in Westchester NY that required a lot of work. We have used Balestri Architects again for a number of projects. We worked through an entire 'Master Plan', and have to date, moved ahead on 1st floor work. We are almost done with the project which includes structural work, brand new kitchen, entry way, powder room and more. Again, we are very happy with every aspect of the project and Balestri Architects has proven to be able to work with our modern loft space as well as an old 1870's barn. Photos can be found by searching for Laight Street and Fargo Lane. We recommend Balestri Architects to anyone and everyone who asks.”
