“We hired Huntsmore to refurbish two bathrooms in our house completely, including plumbing in one of the bathrooms. Working with Eamonn was a pleasure, and the fee was easily worth it. The prices we ended up paying for the hardware were significantly below retail price, and total savings probably ended up close to the cost of the fee anyway. Even if we had seen no savings at all, I would probably still say it was worth it. The entire process was completely hassle free, and dealing directly with Eamonn left us feeling very comfortable that everything was being handled, without having to pay attention to all the details around the job. Would definitely recommend Huntsmore to anyone with a renovation project.”

“I worked with Sophie Nguyen to design a kitchen extension and maximise space and light in a terrace house. We had a tight budget and very restrictive building permissions and she was really smart about the best use of limited space and budget. For example, I would never have thought it would be possible to put a shower, sink and toilet under the stairs and yet, it is a very decent sized second bathroom, looks beautiful and works brilliantly. Having lived for 6 months in the space, I can honestly say that her ideas have turned into a design that is both practical and aesthetically pleasing. I am delighted with he way it turned out.”

“A really outstanding business. We used the team at Woodford to help us update an old Rectory we had purchased. Gavin developed the new design for our kitchen, en-suite master bedroom and two other bathrooms. He picked up very cleverly on existing design elements of the original Georgian rectory and incorporated these into a modern but appropriate twist for the new designs. We ended up following all Sarah's proposals for flooring, wall colours, kitchen & bathroom fixtures & fittings. She also developed beautiful ideas for curtains and roman-blinds and was able to recommend a great local company who provided the fabrication (and who did a really good job on this). In summary, their advice and professionalism was wide-ranging, great value-for-money and time-generous. Gavin & Sarah and the team at Woodford absolutely exceeded our expectations.”

“CATO creative have designed and project management our house refurbishment. They've literally done everything for us and have designed a fantastic family home that considers everybody including the cats. Right from the start the level of creativity and imagination has they have shown has been fantastic. I never imagined that we've have fairground lights in the loo, a metal staircase to the loft and a gloss red staircase in the hallway - We have! Throughout the process they involved us fully in the fun bits and left us out of all the hard work. They took care of all the planning and permissions required to start the works. To find a builder the team completed a tender for us helping us appoint the right contractor. During the build they managed everybody making sure it all happened at the right time. Hopefully the photographs will be shared soon.”

“Paul of Ambo Architects was recommended to me by my builder who praised his detailed construction drawings and problem solving skills. He said architects often provided only outline plans with very little thought on how the design should be practically achieved and that Paul was very different. The builder was right. Paul proved to be a delight to deal with, a very good listener with an open collaborative approach to the early stages of design. He has a great understanding of regulations both planning and building and produced a final design to a very high standard that sailed through all regulatory processes. The drawings provided for construction were extensively detailed with nothing left to chance, when any issues did arise Paul was on hand to help resolve the problems. The project was for a ground floor side return extension with a small first floor extension above. The realised design absolutely maximises both the available space and light in what is a small, and previously dark mid-Victorian house. The contemporary design, with modernist influence, is achieved in traditional materials and sits well with the rest of the victorian architecture. I would recommend Ambo to anyone.”

His work was very imaginative and he had a very different take on a typical Victorian house conversion. We had to work alongside each other during the build in order that the interior and exterior were cohesive and complemented each other. I found him to be very approachable and easy to work with. Not only that, they have provided multiple suggestions and have been extremely accepting of changes and additions to our project. We initially opted to upgrade both the kitchen and the main bathroom, to ending up with an entire house renovation over a few phases to get the entire job done.
