It was a major job which comprised of a loft conversion, garage conversion, kitchen extension and reconfiguring of rooms, so naturally I was wary about which builders I chose and got a few quotes from various companies. From the start I felt comfortable talking to Aaron and he really seemed passionate about wanting to do the job and had some good creative ideas about what we could achieve. He also invited us to see other jobs they have completed to see what their finishing is like which helped put us at ease. Initially he told me that the job could be done in approximately 5 months, which I did not quite believe as all other quotes that I was given, I was told 6 or 7 months, so mentally I added an extra month to their estimated time, but they managed to stick to their original estimate and our job will be completed close to the time given. Communication was a big thing for me as I was not able to be at the site a lot due to work. We had a WhatsApp group which included my wife and I, Aaron, the project manager, the foreman, and the electrician. I found this extremely useful as decisions could be made quickly as photos and videos could be uploaded instantly. Photos were also taken and shared on the group to show progress made meaning everyone could be on the same page and I could be kept up to date. When I did need to make a call, I was nearly always able to get through and never left waiting when I couldn’t. The team assigned to us were great to work with. Satish, the project manager, worked hard in order to make sure our vision was met. He was very calm and professional throughout, even when issues did arise which helped kept me at ease. He worked hard to make sure everything was going to schedule and continually kept me informed of progress. Sonu the foreman and his team worked tirelessly to get the job done. With a job this size, some problems out of our control were inevitable, but they were dealt with quickly and with minimum fuss. I never felt the The Market were trying to make extra money out of me and any extra costs incurred were due to unforeseeable problems. I would have no issue recommending The Market to anyone looking to have work done to their house and have already recommended them to friends and family and would use them again without hesitation.”
