“We engaged Hugo to redesign our bedroom / dressing area and to improve our landing area which was a bit dull. We had not used a designer before and always been quite “matchy” in our design choices, white ceilings etc so it took a bit of a leap of faith to go with more bold styles which Hugo presented. We are so glad we did! We are absolutely delighted with the results, our bedroom is the most welcoming room in the house and the landing is a lot more homely and interesting. Hugo was easy to work with and had great ideas and a vast range of designs and products to choose from. It was great not having to find and shop for everything and then the project which involved multiple trades was managed by Hugo and his team end-to-end and so we didn’t have that stress of organising and dealing with trades. Hugo was regularly on-site to monitor work and progress. The work was completed on time and on budget and all the trades were real craftsmen. The project involved plastering, panelling, electrical work, decorating and then at the end Hugo expertly accessorised and dressed the room. We cannot recommend Hugo highly enough and look forward to getting his help with our next project!”

“When first faced with yet another design / consulting service as part of a building project, it's challenging to determine if the benefits will outweigh the cost. Plum address this uncertainty from the outset by segmenting a complete project from design to installation into five stages, each of which has a defined brief and cost. It's up to the client to decide how far down the process they want to go. Whilst not convinced we would need to use Plum for all five stages, it became clear early on that their expertise and quality of input would be definitely worthwhile throughout the project, which it proved to be. The design input from Viktoria and Ben was hugely helpful in suggesting style and format that would suit our various spaces both internal and external. Without their advice and guidance we would not have even ventured into certain lighting formats and designs which having been installed are now the stars of the show. In addition to the design and actual product recommendations, a huge benefit was the lighting specification and circuit diagrams which were created by Plum and then updated to reflect changes. Even on a relatively straight forward project, it was still invaluable sharing the technical document with builder and electrician alike, so that everyone remained on the same page. Full credit to Ben for keeping these documents accurate and fresh and for designing not just the light positions but switches and multiple switch positions as well. The technical expertise of Plum was evident through their product recommendations and sourcing. Both builder and electrician, on more than one occasion, commended the choice of product whether it be an electrical element never to be seen in the ceiling to a new style downlighter. Plum's appreciation of the effects of varying lighting solutions and their positions in the context of our space was also evident when used on the site visits which coincided with first and second fixes. Minor changes here and there really optimized the lighting effect. I will certainly recommend the use of Plum as I've been hugely impressed with their knowledge and expertise. They know their stuff!
