Upholstery by Alan

Alan did an absolutely amazing job with reupholstering our old sofa for us. He is extremely knowledgeable in all areas when it comes to upholstery and was so vey patient and honest with offering his time to advise us on which different types of fabrics are available and what would work for us. Alan was also kind enough to store our sofa over quite a few months whilst we renovated our home which he didn't have to do bit it really helped us out. The finished sofa was just breath taking. I was overwhelmed by the detailing and workmanship that had gone into transforming our old outdated sofa into modern but practical piece. I absolutely love it. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Alan to others. His passion in what he does is extremely evident and shines through in the beautiful pieces of furniture he creates.

Alan re-upholstered my grandfathers chair which had been neglected for many decades, using my chosen material. He has done a beautiful job, making a new cushion and adding details to the chair which he recommended as being in keeping with its original design. He was very competitively priced and very knowledgeable, I would have no hesitation in recommending him.

We were in dire need of someone professional to help us out with a project. The previous company let us down hence the urgency to find someone who could deliver and still deliver the project on time. Alan turned up on site with all his equipment and in no time had taken the measurements, template and gave me several fabric swatches to choose from. We will be using Alan and only Alan for any future projects. He is courteous, friendly, professional and knows what he is doing. I feel at ease leaving a project to him after explaining the brief and I know the end result will be as I had it in my mind. Thank you Alan!

The first service Alan provided was the re-upholstery of a sofa-bed. It was around 10 year old but is now looking as if bought recently. Alan showed me different fabrics and gave me ideas such as colour contrast for the piping which gives a definition to the sofa. I also wanted a love-seat. Alan created this beautiful seat which can be split into 2 individual seats. The design is modern, unusual and extremely practical. Alan has also created dining chairs with high backs, upholstered with a beautiful fabric. He has a great sense of aesthetics when it comes to designs, fabrics and colours. I had 2 more chairs re-upholstered by Alan with both very different fabrics, one being natural linen and the other a wonderful contrast of materials. He is passionate about his work and the results are beautiful.

The service we received from Alan was very professional And his knowledge of his materials was good and very helpful with future care of our products. We have now had 4 items upholstered with Alan and are very satisfied with the work that was carried out. We would highly recommend Alan and will definitely be using him again.

Over the past 8 years Alan and myself have collaborated on many projects. He is creative, resourceful, has a fantastic eye for detail and the pieces he has made for me have always proven to be faultless.
