Comments (6)Don't mix your tiles colours....It will feel bigger if you stick to just one colour. To be fair the window is enormous for the room so you already have something to break up the tiles! If you want the room to look more polished like a hotel bathroom I would have dark grout and add brushed steel trims. Have the trims on all the window corners and then add trim at picture rail height and another at skirting board height. Make sure the grout lines match on the floor and walls. If you are having a floating toilet and vanity make sure your towel rail pipes come out of the wall not the floor. In my opinion underfloor heating is well worth the minor cost. A slatted blind may trick your eye into thinking the room is bigger although I might investigate if your local glass merchant can fit a mirror behind the vanity- this could be fitted with the same fittings that would hold a glass balcony secured top and bottom of the window recess and you could have a simple roller blind behind it....See MoreTraditional bathroom decor
Comments (4)Just A couple of thoughts: If your shower tray was 1000x700 you would likely have enough space on the opposite side of the room to put the loo between the bath and shower. In turn this would leave more room for a bigger vanity and therefore more storage. Personally I would choose a metro tile with a dark grout and steel trims for the edges. Alternatively you could find a tile you like in more than one size. Use a smaller tile for decorative effect- perhaps you have a mosaic in a stripe up the wall?...See MoreNeed help with future bathroom!
Comments (22)Loving all these ideas! Do you know what type or style of shower you want to go for? There are so many options nowadays, Would you like wall-mounted or flushed ceiling, for example? Here are some ideas: This is the Sunshine shower head, a stainless steel disc Ø 350 mm with one ABS disc within that is fitted to the ceiling, complete with water guide system and optional white light therapy, massage or atomiser jets. Or, if you would prefer a shower column, this is the Vehla MySlim Ambiente - the shower column is constructed in brass, with fixed shower holder and integrated progressive valve. 3 mm ultra-slim shower head, non-liming, inspectable and serviceable. One jet handshower in brass, non-liming, inspectable and serviceable, with smooth 150 cm anti-twist PVC flexible hose. You can check out more of our shower heads and columns here. I know it's irritating when people say start again but the room seems a bit bitty and if the basin and loo were in a run of units, separated by small cupboards, with a continuous surface along the top of the whole run, it would look really rather sleek. And the pipe could run under the units, hidden by it - that's what I've done in my bathroom. Stick a mirror above the units, covering the whole wall from surface to ceiling, and side to side, and it will make the room seem much bigger. Are you having a towel radiator in there? That will add some character if you have towels that complement the colours you choose. Then add some interesting bits and pieces to make it seem less utilitarian....See More- last year
